My girlfriends dad wants to get his record(litterally) collection onto cd somehow. He has a turntable, and he bought a plug for it that fit's his soundcards input, but thats about it. Anyone have any knowledge as to what we should do next?
Nero's embedded Wave Editor is probably one of the cheapest solution with 24 bits recording. However, it has some bugs regarding to 24 bits WAVE files. Basically it can record to an 24 bits WAVE file, but it can't read it back, which makes it almost useless for 24 bits editing.
Cool Edit were once favorite of many, but Adobe bought them and it now becomes "Audition," which makes it much more expensive.
