Recommendation: PS Vita games

now im 2 hours on Muramasa and now i remember why i stopped playing it on Wii. The game is so repetitive.

Yeah, Dragon's Crown seems more fun so far. I played to the point where I got the Queen's Scepter back

dragon's crown price is lowered to 20 dollar or it was always 20 dollar? if its a discount on PSN, i gotta get some PSN card from amazon :D

how to play MP in dragon's crown? in INN it just say the slot is joinable but i cant search players :/

After you follow the main quest through all areas (you should be level 18-20 if you did all quests for the guild), you'll have to revisit all areas again and then you'll be invited to join other players if you have an internet connection.

Anyone know what's up with The Firefly Diary? It was supposed to be released on feb. 25th in the EU I believe, but it's still not up on the PSN store from what I can tell, and no infos to be found online either.

Can anyone else in the old world see this game in the store on their Vita?

That game that inspired Spelunky and is a mix between that and Dark Souls basically comes out this week as well on Vita.

Wiki says 24th for US, but tomorrow for EU.
Thanks... It appeared later on the store than the previously announced release date... Of course, now I no longer can afford to buy it this month, so...darn. Lol. Homeworld HD Collector's Edition plus some other impulse purchases totally cleaned me out, ouch.

Child of Light is really good on the Vita - the touch screen helps - and Rayman Legends is just perfect. Must have. It's one of the best platformers ever basically, and for single player, the Vita is pretty much perfect for it with great controls, super fast response, flawless graphics.

yeah the single profile is really annoying. There;s some games that have good price in PSN-ID but i cant buy them because my vita is on PSN-US. bah...

I believe Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is out today. Really pretty looking jrpg. Also something for us "normal" people who're a bit puzzled about phenomena such as Lolicon, Waifus and all that jazz.

I recently purchased Flame Over:

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/tag/flame-over/

It's really hard to begin with but once you get to grips it's a great little game. Essentially you go round putting out fires and earning cash to spend on upgrades. You start with 5 mins and each life saved adds one minute of time, each cat saved gives you an extra heart (which is the lenght of your life). Life goes down due to being too close to heat or being hit by fireballs.

Tips for beginner:
1) switch off the music so you can hear survivors or flames nearby
2) first thing in game check out the large map (select button) - find the fusebox (red lightning symbol) - head for that and switch it off Iit makes fighting fires much easier! Any doors with flames need dousing with water before opening
3) now try to find survivors - note that the rooms stay 'paused' until you open the door so don't panic - once you open the door listen for a coughing survivor (or 2/3!)
4) search anything that pops up with the icon 'seach' - there will likely be something you need for Miss Ion (she is a character on every other level that gives you a mission) - when you complete the mission you get 1 min + a token, these tokens can be saved up for upgrades (don't forget to collect the token - she drops it on the floor and you need to 'collect' it!)
5) on every other level that doesn't have Miss Ion there is a shop (a cart sign on the map) - here you can spend the cash you've earnt during the game - pro tip you can cheat (highlight the text from here) by spraying the shop keeper with foam the price drops to '.....'
6) when the time is up 'death' will hunt you down so you can still finish the level after it has expired (and saving people still adds 1 min) - you can also 'avoid' death as your character is faster, so you could lead him to a big room and double-back

Jeff Minter is getting leaned on by Atari (fuck, I was surprised they're still in business!) over TkX, an obvious and glaring Tempest 2000 ripoff. Naturally, to celebrate Streisand Effect in action, I bought the game.

It's not very good, but it was cheap. And Minter is a legend and could maybe use the money. *shrug*

I've been playing Llamasoft games since the Attack of the Mutant Camels but it's obvious that Minter is being a dick here. TxK is such a blatant ripoff of Atari IP that it's amazing it's been not an issue until now - perhaps because Atari don't have a Vita!

I love this on Vita. Clearly others do to, hence the 84 metacritic rating. Real 'old skool' gaming.
