Recommendation: PS Vita games

I bought a Vita and payed full price for P4G a month after release, no regrets!
I did the bad ending; I need to do a replay soon.

Persona 4 gets discounted every 2 months or so. The PS+ subscription always gives an additional 10% discount. I think I paid about 13€ for my digital copy.

do PSN have "watchlist" like steam? so i can get notified when Persn 4 golden got discount?

@renegade
luckily i found out a way to make my tablet runs faster (down-volt), so i can play some titanfall waiting for Vita :D

You probably don't need a full replay. Just load a save from November before Hanako goes to the hospital and follow some instructions from the Internet.

It's damn hard to figure out how to avoid the bad endings. I don't know if things seem more obvious in the japanese version, but in the english version it's really hard and unpredictable. You have to go through this maze of non-obvious right answers in the hospital scene just to avoid losing the game instantly, and then you have a similar situation again in March.

The really frustrating part is that with the bad endings, you lose well over 10 hours of gameplay and a lot of important events like the Christmas party, Valentine's, the new maze exclusive for the Golden edition and all the explanations that eventually lead to the "truth".

Non-spoiler version and very important to anyone playing Persona 4 Golden:
- If you don't want to lose ~10 additional hours of gameplay and story-telling, make sure you follow a "good ending walkthrough" in the internet when you get to November 1st.
There aren't almost any spoilers within those walkthroughs and it'll really be worth the effort.

Nope, AFAIK.
But all discounts appear in the european Playstation Blog, so you just have to check that site from time to time.
That's where they announce the next PS+ games too. They announce the next games in the last wednesday of each month and the games switch in the first wednesday.

I will have to start from scratch as it's been well over a year since I "completed" it.
It's not an issue though as the game is great fun. :D

im doomed...
i just found out that vita is not fully region free.

all physical games is region free but all digital things is region locked. So if i buy game XYZ from europe, i wont be able to play it online using my US PSN account (the online pass wont work).

so... the free 10 game that i will get from my Vita bundle pack will be useless. Because i use US PSN, because to change gamertag to other region i need to buy another Vita Memory Card.

Long live GoG, may your Galaxy be successfull and obliterate this world from region lock nonsense (because this thing is everywhere, my Origin now all in Dutch language, my steam price now all in Eur, my windows 8 no longer can login to xbox live, but all my GoG games runs fine :p )

EDIT:
hmm i just look for PS vita memory card for EU PSN account.... Wow, Sony really crazy with the price. Its even more expensive than UHS-1 MicroSD Card.

Yeah it's not fully region free; That is why I abandoned my old account and am all digital on my US account (for Vita games).

The only thing you can do afaik is have two memory cards. One with the US account on it, and one with the EU account.

I kinda like Dynasty Warriors 8. It may be super shallow -and if anyone tries to convince you of the opposite they're, quite frankly, full of it -, but killing, or rather, K.O.-ing a thousand guys on your daily commute is rather good fun. It also runs decently for the most part despite throwing hundreds of guys at you (gets much, much, much more crowded than DW Next). The framerate tends to tank during the screen-clearing Musou attacks, but it doesn't really matter much in those moments.
The game was recently discarded on PSN and I picked it up for 20€. No idea whether that's still the case.

I also completed the first Walking Dead Season 2 episode on the Vita. Pretty decent port. Looks much better than Season 1 (character shadows are back - huzzah!), but still chokes up every now and then. That said, so did the game on the PS3. Hard to hold this against the Vita. The game's mostly about the characters and the writing anyways, and since none of that is made any lesser by the handheld, it's an easy recommendation if Telltale's decidedly limited take on gameplay is something you're okay with every once in a while. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt them to break away from the formula at this point. Choosing who lives and who doesn't during certain story beats doesn't quite have the same impact when you've done just that about once in every preceding episode. It's become a rather predictable trope at this point.

I got a 32GB card for 40 Euros on Marktplaats.nl.. I thought it was a scam so I used paypal, but to my surprise, I got a 32GB vita card in the mail the next day

as for recommendations, my best games are:
-Gravity Rush
-Hotline Miami
-Fez
-BlazBlue
-Uncharted

I also have Killzone, Wipeout, Ridge Racer, MGS:HD, but these games didn't really click with me.

edit: @orangpelupa I figured my card would be grey import. 33 euros is a great price though!!

i just found out that to hack PS Vita, i would need games from various region. I guess i do need to buy 2nd memory card lol

before anyone asking, no, hacked ps vita cant play pirated games.

@slimjim
in Indonesia 32GB vita card is about 33 Eur. So the price is -highly- variable from one seller to another. Weird :/ PS4 and the Vita itself is almost the same price in EU and Indonesia.

Gravity Rush is indeed pretty awesome. Even though it suffers a little from Assassin's Creed 1 syndrome, i.e. it looks lovely and has a very cool mechanic at its core. It just doesn't do an awful lot with it. I hope Gravity Rush 2 is still a thing. A Vita thing to be specific. I'm not holding my breath though. I mean Sony has pretty much abandoned the thing for a year now and still Yoshida said there'd be even less 1st party support for it from now on. So less than what's been amounting to a big fat zero already? That's kind of an achievement too.

but the weird thing about vita is more and more japan game is released on there. It seems Sony give up on Vita, but japan developer does not give up.

Rant:
unfortunately most of the game did not pique my interrest.. Freedom Wars looks having good character model but have horrible animation, environment, and battle (i dont like monster hunter, for me its cumbersome). The Hyperdimension neptunia thing is just a dance game.

in 3DS, there's also a dance/rythm game that actually good. Its called Rythm Thief. For me that kind of game is great (it feels like QTE, my button presses is really reflected in-game, not just some absurd button presses that have no meaning). Games like idolmaster, neptunia dance, and project diva is not good.

now im concerned with Persona Dance forever on vita.... it sure have a nice music, but does the gameplay bring anything new.. i dont know...

its completely 180 degree different with Nintendo. Wii U is lukewarm but nintendo did not give up, they keep making 1st party game. they keep making me want to buy their system (but i wont, the region lock will make me buying game in Indonesia a hard thing to do). So almost no 3rd party game in wii u seems fine to me, the 1st party gae already many and good.

in Vita is lukewarm, sony give up, but then (japanese) 3rd parties picks up the slack. Unfortunately most of them still dont want to bring their 3DS games to Vita. The only game that will come to 3ds and vita is One Piece Unlimited R and it also come to PS3 and Wii U. Although many 3DS game should have no problem running on Vita and porting it should be relatifly easy (both using ARM, both have touchscreen, vita have much better spec).

just got my vita.

Uncharted, bored in about 10 minutes
Gravity rush make my head dizzy. Maybe need to be accustomed

Tearaway.. I cant stop playing lol
truly fun game, makes me smiles many times. And video game rarely does that! :D

gotta reach the sun and try other games, yihhaw

I couldn't get into uncharted GA, it is vastly inferior to uncharted 2, add in the gimmicks and low-res/upscaled visuals and I lasted maybe an hour.

I downloaded Muramasa, visuals are sick, my only complaint is that this game should be 60fps, 30fps sucks for 2d sidescrolling action games.

I was playing Uncharted and after a few hours I loved it:
"it's probably finished now, so sad :("
but a few days after, my save game said I was only at 22% :p

That game is immense, but it's a big shame it takes so long before it gets going

I completed Uncharted as well and liked it a lot. Would have loved a sequel ...

I vaguely remember Uncharted GA starts slow, but is more varied than the other Uncharteds.

wow you are correct patsu :D

im forcing myself to keep playing Uncharted GA and now i cant stop playing. The story is full of holes, the game is buggy, there's too much shooting, clumsy qte. But it is engaging.

So i can say my fave PSV game right now is:
Uncharted GA
Tearaway
