Quantum Break [XO] (by Remedy) *large images*

Scenery is very complex, both the workshop and the outdoor area. Lots of different, detailed objects...

If I didn't know any better, I would say this is the most graphically detailed and complex game I have ever seen, we all mistakenly thought the first trailers were CG not actual gameplay renders. I am curious as to how they achieved that kind of fidelity.

Game looks great but i hate the amount film grain it has. The direct screencaps are native 1080p framebuffer? I like the lighting when the enemy is firing the gun, it looks smooth really impressive. Also is it me or does this picture have dithering in the hair and top ropes, and what would be the cause?

Well without going TOO OT, I'd say I:SS still looks to be the best game I've ever seen. But with that said, it will be great to see what a developer like Remedy can do developing exclusively for the Xbox One. And from the teaser trailer, the game looks damn good and the zero-state game play looks intriguing! Like bullet-time on steroids.

Damn shame we have to wait till gamescom before we can get a look at some actual game play. Also a 2015 release date really brought a tear to my eye because I don't think I can wait that long seeing as I'm already waiting that long for Halo 5. Ugh!

i think we are lucky to have such a bumper crop of great looking games across all platforms so early in their lives... 6 months on we have several candidates for best looking game ever

KZ:SF
ISS
Ryse
The Order
NBA 2k14 (imho)
Now QB

Cant really ask for more this early in the generation.

Damn that looks good. Right with the best of anything current gen imo.

Unknown for now.

Alstrong hinted in the other thread at least the vertical looks 1080, with the caveat it's too early to say much as Alan Wake apparently debuted with PC footage way back when. With those graphics I would have expected 900P on XBO.

There's always something to consider with early footage. Anyways, the obsession with it so far out from release is a bit nutty.

Max Payne decided to leave the mercenary jobs and is now a presenter for videogames?
:)

I like what I see, but I hate it when games get hyped this early. Still, looking forward to it. I'm a fan of Remedy and this game is one of the reasons I wanted to try Xbox One. I mean, the game could end up being a turd, but hopefully not.

Why is he covering his face when there is little light entering his room? Is he afraid of being photographed by paparazi? Did he just woke up and his eyes are sensitive to the light? Is he a vampire?!?!

Lights from the window :p

Some of the shots look offline (pre-rendered), but not in the fashion of being unplayable. I get the distinct vibe, we're looking at a mixture of polygon models (vehicles, characters, items, vegetation/trees, etc...) with controlled (camera movement) static offline scenery. Somewhat reminiscent of the earlier Resident Evil games, especially Resident Evil Zero. But better... miles better. I could be wrong, but the actual scenery looks static, with aliasing only occurring around poly-meshed based objects.

I'm not nocking this, I actually would love to see more games using high quality pre-rendered backgrounds/setups... freeing up the GPU for better character geometry, great lighting and shadowing, etc. But yes, I know, static backdrops/environments can be limiting to camera movement and gameplay mechanics. I think I'm just an old softy for Resident Evil Zero...
