Found out that the Bravla Sync/Link feature is really HDMI-CEC. So you can use more than the Bravia remote to control your PS3 Slim.
According to the wikipedia article, the full list includes:

With that depth I'm thinking the box.
Thanks Rolf... and so with those measurements it seems that the Slim box vs the original loses 4" on the length, and nominal amounts on depth and width. Overall it leads to over a 25% reduction in volume though, so... don't know what Sony's shipping costs were before, but the redesign should spill over to material savings in that area I would imagine, considering the weight reduction of the final package as well.

That white looks mighty sexy...Somehow I'm always left unsatisfied with my consoles original appearance.
I'm going to offload one of my PS3's to a friend and look to get in on the slim. I'm moving the one out of my living room in hopes the quieter/cooler Slim will make my viewing experiences a lil easier there.

My slim is on the way. Amazon confirmed shipping today! Now I just have to get rid of my old 60Gb model, but first I must remember to take out the 500Gb HD its got in it!
My roommate picked up a slim on Saturday. Got it at a Best Buy in the Twin Cities area. The salesman said they'd already been selling for a couple days even. Looks great, even smaller than the PS2 sitting next to it. Can't wait to start watching Blu-rays again and pick up some new games.
