[PS3] Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

I've only noticed slowdown a couple of times and it has been exclusively when I have been moving the camera around with the right stick while still being "in action" in the game.

Did you complete the 6-statue collection ? I think it's more fun than the golden bolt collection.

Hmm the only six statue thing I know about is the one in the fight festival level, and I did collect those... and gained access to few tubes with blades in them and some platforming in between. Are you referrering to something else/more. Don't tell me that there were six statues in every level!!?!

Nope that's the one.
I like it because all the statues are collectable in 1 level, and the extra blade level has a golden bolt and a holo-plan, so it's more rewarding than running through the whole game to collect all bolts

I see. I don't do that a lot (if at all)... just hopping along, trying to clear the levels while avoiding dangers frantically.

I agree that the graphics were somewhat disappointing, but perhaps they were overhyped by the industry and by various publications. It's an extremely SATISFYING game (not to mention funny!), however, and anyone who owns a PS3 and misses out on this one is just plain crazy.

One thing I hope they improve in the next game is the water. There's no interaction with it, no ripples, not even a splash effect while you are swimming.

Ratchet and Clank : Quest for Booty announced.http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36815.html The small gameplay clip seems to show much better normal mapping and lighting combination on floor textures than TOD.

I foresee cool shaders in Resistance 2!
Am I seeing ScreenSpace Ambient Occlusion or is it just baked in the textures!?
Also a much darker tone, the way I would like it !

Also, more emphasis on platforming and exploration than weapons this time around.Everything seems to be changing for my taste:cool: ! I might give it a try or maybe I'll buy R&C:TOD when it gets cheaper;)!

Actually R&C was released on Platinum just this or last week? On play.com I even saw it for 21 euro, but your region may vary.
Quest for Booty is also apparently out this month.

look like some kind of parralax mapping on the floor and they do look nice when lit by a lightsource. hopefully they'll pay this kind of attention to the Chicago level building interiors. they might be already using light-scattering in QFB too.

I have been playing Tools of Destruction for quite a bit now and I am loving it. However, I really hate the on-rails shotemup sequenses due to the fact that my mind is wired to press down to get the crosshair up on the screen. Is there any way to invert the Y-axis of the sight?

QfB will be a first day purchase for me,seeing as how great ToD was. These kinds of AAA smaller games is what I was hoping for from PSN and I have to wonder if games like this and Siren Blood Curse would even be made if the PS3 didn't have a standard HDD. It's nice not having to wait another 2 years for the next installment.

My memory is vague now. I don't think you can change it. I had trouble with the space fights too. :)

But ToD is indeed a great game ! Have you passed Sargasso ?

In preparation for Q4B I pulled TOD out to give that a play and finally beat it this past weekend. The game is so much fun that I ended up playing it again when my nephew came over. One thing I did dislike is that the game froze whenever I went to purchase weapons. I would either have to wait minutes for it to return to the game, or reboot the PS3.

This is not normal. R&C never crash or freeze on me.

I've never read of anyone having this issue. It just started to develop for me in the last few planets. Everywhere else the game plays beautifully except when I exit out of the weapon/ammo purchasing screen.

Never had any issues either except for Big Head Dan Johnson mode which were mostly QA related as I think they threw that in in the last minute.

Did you check your disc to make sure it didn't have any smudges?
