It is, with excellent sharpness, colour, and viewing angle. But the response time as vazel says is way too high. There's a perpetual motion blur. Sony could do with releasing an updated model with a fast screen.Best screen in handeld history.

Is there truth in this:
Developers can now choose to support the Remote Play functionality (which allows players to play their PS3 titles on their local wireless LAN using their PSP. Remote Play requires 8MB of memory to be allocated to it.

This would be great for RPGs and other "slower paced" games...
What I am curious about though, is if the Gbuffer is that figure I recall it being (30MB)?
Are you referring to the memory stats section? I'm not clear on what else you are counting besides the items listed under Main Memory or Video RAM.
if we had some real ps3 devs on his forum they could tell is if the main os takes 18 mb or 180 mb or how much it is. now we can only guess/pretend to know
???
If "his" forum means "this" forum, then yes the real PS3 devs are around, and yes they could tell you; but the information is NDA'd so don't expect it and please don't hound any of them about it!
You'll get a sense of the investigative process that goes on around here - believe me it'll take you farther than you might think vs a more cynical outlook such as "now we can only guess/pretend to know."
but it will go like this:
1: its 20 mb
2: no its 35 mb, the ps3 os is not so good as you think
1: no no, look, the main game is like 100 mb, the guns 50, the sound 30 and the graphics are like 312 mb, so add it all up and you have 20 left for the main os
2h i didnt know the os was so optimized already?
3: no you are wrong, the game is not so good, it should be 80mb max, and the guns are only 25, so the main os is around 65
2: yeah i was also thinking about that, come to think of it, even 35 is too low
-etc
we need some real hard numbers. from a developer slide or something?
we need some real hard numbers.
Why can't a PS3 dev just create a new account, and post the figures?
