He wields electricity throughout his body, probably not a good idea to sit inside a vehicle full of gas.
Never mind the game, but that interview was horrible. It's like the girl didn't know what questions to ask that guy. But then again the guy didn't do any better. At the end of the interview, it was hilarious.
Yeah, but think of the fuel economy he can get with a hydrogen fuel cell car ... electrolysis of water anyone?
There's a definite similarity, but Infamous was actually announced first.

Looks so much better than last year! I hated the way the main character looked in the 07 trailer. Now he actually looks cool.

Exactly my thoughts.They need to show more enemies, missions and multiplayer (if available) next. I am getting numb to open world, free roaming games. Actually, I wasn't too keen on GTA4 type game in the first place
Platforming looks great, and (especially jump) speed doesn't look out of place because of the default stance and animation of the guy, unlike Uncharted for example.
But I don't like going around aimlessly fighting people,
show us some purpose now.
I don't like his default Spiderman pose.

Didn't really stand out that much graphically. Maybe because it was a night scene to show off the electric shocks or something?
Looks like singleplayer only, so they're in a sense replicating GTA except GTA added online this year.
Interesting that Naughty Dog went from Jak to Uncharted and now Sucker Punch is going from Sly to Infamous. In the former case, they cited better hardware and the chance to use more realistic characters. In the latter, maybe Sly just wasn't a big enough seller and it was time to try something else?

In a recent (E3) interview they stated that they had been working on Sly for X years, and the team was just ready for a change. Can't remember how long it was, but quite some time. Not to say you're wrong or that that wasn't a factor, but that's the only thing I've heard directly from them. Can't remember where the interview was, either. Probably Eurogamer, IGN, Gamespot, or Gametrailers.
Most Sony first party studios started this gen with new IPs. They may be chasing the grown up gamer crowd, just in case cartoony characters fall out of favor. They can always go back to their existing franchise(s) to pick up the slack. What's more, starting the R&D with a new IP instead of an existing one give them more time to prepare for a proper transit to the new platform. e.g., Insomniac releases R&C after Resistance using 2nd gen technologies.
This is light-years beyond the (comparatively) pathetic teaser trailer that was released via the Playstation Store earlier this year. The gameplay looks fantastic! So much mayhem, I can't wait to control this character
