PS2 Normal Mapping?: The Matrix: Path of Neo Screens, Info.

Hope that was an early build. The frame rate looked a bit sketchy.

Looks like fun though! :)

Hope the xbox/PC versions are good ports...

Nice looking & sounding, but how will it play?

If this is like playing the first Matrix movie, they've got a pure winner on their hands. :)

I'm getting the distinct feeling from the trailer that part of these game will play like ShenMue and its QTE events. Due to the way the camera was positioned, I can't believe the player has full control in all of those fight sequences. Instead, I think you do part free form fighting, then be confronted with QTE events, where if you hit the right button combination, you'll get the nice cut scene/super slick martial art move.

BTW, finish ShenMue damn it! Chapters 3 and 4 on XB360/PS3 NOW!.

Meh....

Aside from the normalmapping (which I have yet to see), the engine my team is working can do just as much and seemingly more. Distortions, bloom, heat waves, etc. And IMO the art direction in these screenshots isn't very good.

1500 smiths in a scene? I'll believe it when I see it. I wouldn't be surprised if they just turn out to be sprites, or render-to-textures.

Well they could be polygons. If each of them is made of 100 polys, it could happen... ;)

After this video, the only thing I have to say is that IGN editor should beat to a pulp for his comparison with God of War.

How about a game of Bump Mapped Lucky Hit?
