pre-X06 MEGATON precognition chronicle

I don't think Raven Software has enough resources to handle so many games at once. I'm pretty sure as soon as Quake 4 shipped, Wolfenstein went into full production which would have been at the end of 2005.

Look at the video, at X05 they already had people working on levels, character models and animation, so they've at least started full scale production a few months before that.

But I also happen to know that one of their character modelers has been working on the title for almost two years by now.

You gotta love these guys.

However, with third party support at an all-time high and Microsoft Game Studios putting out AAA title after AAA title, you can be sure that there will be more to come at X06.

I'd like to have a couple of those please.

My predicition : Resident Evil 5 exclusive for XB360

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=19959

Interesting..I doubt it severly though.
Sensui I think was just teasing/entertaining the possibility for readers to go "omg" etc..
If it were exclusive to 360 that would be a shock to say the least.

The only reason I can think of for Capcom not to release it on the PS3, would be a Godzilla sized bag of cash from MS.

If this is true about Resident Evil 5.... man, what a mess! I was a huge fan of the Resident Evil series before Capcom did the most stupid thing and tried to shift their entire fanbase on to the GameCube. Now after an entire generation, would they really do the unthinkable and try to shift their fanbase, again?! Can't say that I really care though - RE4 might be one of the best games this/last generation, but I still haven't gotten myself to buy it. The times are simply over. I have no doubt I'd think differently if they would have at least supported the PS2 from the beginning and keept fans interested enough.

Then again, does "exclusive" and "Capcom" even belong in the same sentence? I would think not...

I would bet at best for time exclusivity.
when the game is supposed to launch?
If game launch at say early spring their will be between 8/11 millions xbox and 3/5 millions ps3.
Most of the ps3 users are likely to buy the game.
It 's a lot of cash MS should have put on the table...
does capcom know more than us as far ps3 availability is concerned?
Does a port for 3/5 miilions potential users is not an econimical viable choice?
Does capcom want to help MS in early ps3 so they can make mostly multiplateform games this gen?
Could it be a huge gap in developement cost between Ps3 and 360?
Do I think too much about a very anticipated rumor?.....my guess is yes ;)

There are no games "most" users buy. Even things like Halo were bought by far less than 1/2 of the Xbox owners. So RE5 on the PS3 in early spring would be very, very happy to break 1 mln. This should bring about $30-50 mln. to Capcom, which is not "easily" but still conceivably bearable by Microsoft.

hey shifty, judging from all the press turmoil the last weeks in many subjects, I wouldnt be much surprised if your prediction actually turns out to be spot-on.
I remember that the former 360 boss in japan, had talked (by mistake) a long time ago about exclusivity on biohazard 5 (resi5), too
the new boss (who is very involved with japdevs) denies nothing, and states that they are very good friends..

I dont believe that re5 can be a completely exclusive title, but it may launch first on 360, so I guess we'll just have to wait will see. (as usual)

but anyway, I would make another prediction: (captain obvious speaking here, but still needs to be told)

worst case scenario for 360fans regarding resident evil 5:
its launched same day on both platforms, like GTA4 ;)

not very bad for a worst case 8)

I guess X06 is the place to learn much more about the king of football games.

PES6 is one of the best features of X06 for me. and I think it is the same for most european -at least- people too,

With regards to wolfenstein 2, I seem to recall a mention of wanting a completely streaming game, no level loading (except the first, of course ;) )...

I appologize if this has been stated already, but does anyone know how long the show goes for? One day thingy or three?
