snipingwaste,

do you overlock your mem very much?

Yes its eating 3.3V feed direct for the PSUs 3.3V rail bypassing the mobos mem voltage regulater. It Micron -5B rev C rated at 200 3,3,3,10,T1 at 2.5V.

I run it at 250HTT 2.5,2,2,5,T1 at 3.3V. The mem will do more but the mobo wont. The max is 268HTT for the mobo and the mem will do 268HTT 2.5,3,3,5,T1 but the 3000+ A64 NC will only do 2.5 gig stable so above 250HTT I have to drop multi to x9 and it runs better if I keep x10 multi so it stays at 250HTT.

Snipe-Do you find memory coolers helpful in OCing?
Yes, With out ram sinks the mem would only do about 230HTT 3,4,4,11,T1 with 2.8V. The ram would go higher with more voltage but errors will start when the mem chips hit 65C and up. The ram sinks now keep the mem under 45C all the time. The heat spreader you see on high end is ok but ram sinks are needed for Xtreme mem overclocking and don't suggest most to do this.

Right now I dont have a [dedicated]video card, so I'm stuck with intergrated video till I'm able to buy one.

The pic I linked to earlier in the thread was actually my cluster so I cheated a bit  Here's my main PC. I installed the Exos2 yesterday.

Get some Mushkin Redline PC4000. I have 4x512 of it. With two sticks, its rated at Cas2 2-2-6-1T, much better than your current ram. I actually had two running at Cas1.5 2-2-5-1T befor I added two more. 3.3-3.5v is needed though.

When I buy more ram it will be 1 gig dimms. There is somthing you don't know about Micron memory. You can set both UTT and micron at the same speed with UTT at 2,2,2,5, and Micron at 2.5,,2,2,5, and micron will give better bandwidth. There are timings that are internal in memory that you can't change and are set and micron is faster.

When I upgrade, I want 2 gig and T1 settings and 4x512 cant keep T1 and will be forced to T2. With 2X1gig, you will keep T1 settings anf micron is the best 1 gig dimm out now with some hitting 290HTT 3,3,3,11,T1 with 2.8V.

I've had to put my calculator in the desk drawer whilst browsing this thread so it can't see the monitor ..... :p

I've always wondered about that. I'd take my borrowed HP 48G (1993 vintage) to uni (thanks, Dad!) and all the rich bastards in the class had brand new 2000 model 49Gs. I swear the 48G would graph "OMG NO" and turn off sometimes, because it felt inadequate
