Is the site running poorly lately? Go here and try to view the big ass image @Dictator posted.

Also I don't know how to contribute to the site. There used to be a subscription thing but I see no trace of it now.

I think it's possible that the attachment is too large and eating too much upload bandwidth of the site. Once I have the image downloaded and cached locally it's back to normal.

No performance issues on that. 6 MB png takes a couple seconds to download. Firefox.

Good conversation and no feeding of the trolls!

Could it be that you happened to download it while it was stilll uploading? Not sure how the site's code works with that.
The problem lasted for a long time but I dunno. It wasn't just that, the whole site was slow for me on multiple computers. Once the site was in browser cache the problem was masked pretty well unless there were uncached images involved.

This morning I cleared browser cache and checked again and performance was fine.

Could be internet routing issue.

Sometimes I must use vpn to visit b3d, otherwise it felt like dialup
I tried going through the VPN at my office and it was the same. Home is AT&T and office is Spectrum. It could still be a routing issue though.

It's happening to me right now. I logged into a computer at my office and it doesn't happen there, so I think it's just me :(

It happens in both Chrome and Edge, and it happens when I proxy my Internet through my office. But on a computer at my office coming from the same IP it's fine. WTF could cause this?

Is it just this website? I've had my internet go crazy slow on this PC for no Windows reasons. Resetting Wifi fixed it for a while but it degrades back again. Swapping antennae to a different USB port solved it...for some days or weeks, and then back to being awfully slow. Touch wood, recently I performed a Wifi uninstall, removed drivers, reinstalled again and, touch more wood, it's been good since then.

Speed test shows a few hundred mbps. Not using WiFi. I guess the speed test should be closer to 1000mbps so maybe there is something going on. But the slowness is restricted to B3D. I can watch 4K youtube videos etc just fine.
