Point sampled floating point texture?

Am I looking at a blocky point-sampled floating point texture here? In use for the "light ray" from the window. This is FEAR captured off of a X1950 card.



 
Most likely lightbeams are rendered into smaller buffer and blended on top of the frame.
They might have used the multisampling trick and thus losed the ability for proper filtering.
