Yep, a couple of indentations hold the dvd in the slot.

It's weird that the hard drive slot is not visible on that picture, I think it should be from that angle...

Harddrive could be removed from the unit.

The Xbox 360 also uses heat-pipe cooling with dual 80mm exaust fans and has a hard drive external to the unit. So heat's taken care of.

Over 1/3 of the Xbox was taken up by the hdd and PSU, moving them both to the outside on the 360 freed up a bunch of room.

damn that thing looks good. It's slightly smaller, but most importantly it's lighter. I think that's what made the XBOX seem so big was it's weight.

The main X360 shadow is cast onto the Xbox. The "shadows" you see coming straight down are the reflection from the table.

It looks very good in my opinion, but I'm not sure that's a final console in that comparison pic (final box, I know the hardware isn't complete), the more recent pictures we've seen have the usb (?) covers at the bottom split into two sliding doors, that one clearly doesn't, it looks more like the concept boxes we saw previously.
