No Excuse PDZ Hi res HD footage

This is footage of direct feed hi res. there shouldnt be no excuses that its off screen or lower brightness or bad contrast. this is playing at game level colors and brightness + contrast. This is the kind of break or make footage that either you like the graphics of this game or you dont .

Their Kameo looks better. I am sure Rare can get this one to look better too, if you give them more time.

Guns and reload animation are really good. I like the detail/theme in the world and the effects, they all seem very well done and high quality. The things that stick out to me, in a bad way, are the vehicles and the character art. I just don't care for it.

That said, if you took the people out of the world and were just sampling the world detail and how good it looks I think people would have a better opinion overall. I think the art direction in regards to the players is the "love/hate" part. Personally I don't like it.

IGN, in their X05 hands on, had a similar sentiment. Perry said he hated it at first, but after playing the game a little bit and giving it a chance it grew on him and he really started to dig the gameplay.

This is a "wait and see" game. As for graphics... I think it will be one of those games people either really like the cartoon look or hate it. The world seems solid and the effects are nice. Guns and reload animations are A+ quality.

So, uh, pehaps since Kameo doesn't seem to be using AA, this doesn't bode well for PDZ?
 
PDZ is shaping up to be easily the most impressive game ever seen, IMO. It's copped a lot of flak recently, and I have no idea why... I think it's gorgeous, and it's definitely on my to-buy list.
 
Guys that know me, know what system I'm about. But I have to be honest PDZ is coming around ALOT. It actually looks nice to me. The death animation is fixed and looks cool (i.e. not much ragdoll like this gen). HDR lighting (if that's what it is) looks nice. Co-op looks really fun. Looks like this game could be an easy 8 out of 10 if not more.

I wish MS would just stop with all the "this is the next Halo" BS. STFU and let this game be its own and stop making it legendary. Let it be.

Because it did look like crap. It was pure crap, but what should people expect from half way done game on a system that just been fully available in complete form within the last couple weeks? That's one reason why Sony doesn't want to show games amoung other obvious reasons. Rare is doing pretty good in my eyes after seeing this video.

They are starting to prove themselves on the X360.
 
I'm with Acert93 regarding the art direction. Blah! And the AI and voice acting looks and sounds weak. Plus wasting an AI don't look so satisfying compare to other shooter (one of the most is sniping in MGS 2 and 3). But other things are shaping up nicely. Not really looking forward to the story mode (I'm not sure why?) as much I am for the online multi-play.

Phil it was stated on numerous occasions that PDZ was being previewed in easy mode where much of the effective AI is turned off. It also explains why arrows appear leading the player on, they are not show at normal settings.
 
Being a big fan of Perfect Dark, I don't care about the graphics, it's the only launch title for 360 i don't care about the graphics, "IF" Rare can deliver gameplay that made the original fun and improve on that then I will be sold, and another thing the graphics aren't bad, sure it it's not mind blowing like PGR3 or Kameo, but it's good enough.

The textures look nice and sharp but the art direction doesn't look inspiring at all with usage of simple shapes for both the characters as the environments. That's why it doesn't look next-gen IMO.

i know that ,but it was obviously older builds since now ,the death animations have changed ,and the ragdol is not on defaultbehavior settings anymore.I was just expecting AI to be not that dumb,even on easy.
bah,this game is about fun in multiplayer mode anyway...
