There's the new tablet controller... With some of their concepts of how it can be used. Well, interesting...
Also includes stylus by the way.
 
So the new console is just a new controller? There's no new base console hardware? No Wii "HD"?
The Wii U does seem fun and if it functions as advertised, might be a buy for me.
Exactly what PS3 and PSP should have been with the remote play.
Though, I can't help but think why on earth didn't they just make the Wii U the next portable console to replace the DSi. If PS3 and PS Vita give similar functionality, that'll seem like a more well thought out solution.

There is a console, they're just not talking about it.
At least there'd better be - if it uses the existing Wii hardware for another cycle... no-one can save Nintendo from the fanboy's wrath.

PSVita?

It will all depend on the pricing of this controller. And if the new "console" is indeed Wii U and doesnt involve another console
 
Also, they're running out of pronouns. Apple's taken I, now me, we and you are all taken. They can either go with he/she or they for the next system...

My bet is there will be a new console too, but it'll be basically a repackaged Wii with maybe a HDMI port and a bit different form factor. In one of the videos there was shown a console that looked a lot like Wii but a bit more rounded in form.
Edit: Ok , now they're showing some footage of games that definitely look more HD than basic Wii games, so there must be some sort of hardware update too to bring it up to PS3 and xb360 standards, but doesn't look like it'll be more powerful, looks a little less powerful if anything.

Someone said "you can play two separate games simultaneously", if it's true then it must at least be a beefed up Wii to allow that kind of stuff.
 
All these games can't possibly run on the old Wii. The rumors are mostly true, as it seems. Wonder if they'll present the actual hw specs.

Hope that tech demo is really representative of games, it looked fantastic to me. The third party games will be early ports so I wouldn't expect them to look much different to the 360/PS3 versions.
 
Metro Last Light with the Wii U controller sounds awesome. The EA guy just hinted that BF3 might also be on it.

I'm guessing that the Wii U is capable of a significant leap above 360/PS3 graphics and that the ports of AAA games aren't really pushing the envelope. Probably Nintendo doesn't want to actually reveal exclusive games until next E3 so as not to overshadow third parties.

I'm confused though, is there a separate console that wirelessly sends video to the controller or is it actually all a portable, hand-held system? I'm guessing the former.
