Some of the images are of the controller. I think that's one of them.
Hmmm.. but we have official high res images of the DS4 and the speaker grill doesn't look like that.
Maybe it's a vent for the heat/cold feedback which they patented for the Move controller.

Just make the console as quiet as possible and easy to stack with other components.

Would be a good idea to put out phone and iPad apps to at least turn on the device via Wifi or Bluetooth.

Absolutely priceless.

EDIT

If you enjoyed the VideoGamerTV's PS4 Announcement Abridged version, you'll probably enjoy their PS4 Hardware Reveal as well.

Also, the above tweet is from the fake Kaz account if it isn't obvious enough as is.

They can always change it, just like they changed the boomerang controller for PS3 after first showing it off

Could be the headphone part of the bundled headset... with the cushion removed it could look like that.

But that would be boring. So instead it could be an ultrasound sensor to scan the room, it doesn't beeps, it pings.

I hope that it isn't large and square like the original slim PS3, i like my consoles to be rectangles!
Last picture seem to show it's square, but there's no hint of the size, I also hope it's small but I'd prefer they don't go too small and end up with a noisy fan.

They have to go square. Apple patented the black rectangle. It's too risky.

Maybe the angular font and sharp edges are there to remind us 'It's all about the triangles...', a sort of subtle play off with the hardware. This system's so sharp it can render itself!

Something like this or this. I think they'll fit a modern living room far better than an angular PS3, and also match the Xperia range. Sony could go for a unified style across devices.
