I want Dota 2 on PS4 also, needs KB/M support though! I bet the new consoles can run laps around the Source Engine like a breeze, so it would look great too. Diablo looks sharp too, but something about the art style doesn't seem to look all that great at higher resolutions.
They have. The video shows a radial menu for inventory. The games' coming to PS3 and 360 as well, remember. The touchpad is an additional for PS4, presumably for targeting spells. The video says they don't really know what to do with it yet. They should forget about the touchpad and instead totally redesign the UI specifically for the joypad.
I agree Dota 2 would be great on the PS4, and certainly more interesting to me than Diablo 3. I loved the series and I can't explain with words my disappointment with Diablo 3. Diablo 2 was a masterpiece to me.I want Dota 2 on PS4 also, needs KB/M support though! I bet the new consoles can run laps around the Source Engine like a breeze, so it would look great too. A job listing suggests that Sony could be prepping new voice recognition support for PlayStation products. A post on LinkedIn from April 30, 2013 advertises a “Speech Recognition Engineering Intern” and is seeking a candidate to assist in “speech noise reduction, speech detection, recognition, noisy rejection, and grammar processing under various environments
Will probably try DS4 out first before I critic it. ^_^
What's the secret about the controller ? They didn't let the press touch it in the February presentation. I thought someone have already played with it ? No news ?
Ubisoft say the PS4 will enable great gaming experiences...

This coincides with the fact that Sony trademarked the slogan "Greatness Awaits", the main catchphrase for their PS4 marketing campaign.

My Chinese sources have double confirmed a SpursEngine in each DS4. Its necessary for the RGB LED and the touch pad. HOWEVER, and this part is critical, in line with Kutaragi's original vision, when 2 or more DS4s are on and in the same room, they use a secondary BT host controller embedded in the DS4 to form their own private Piconet for advanced physics processing. DF's original "discrete GPU like compute module" was actually referring to this. They just didn't know it at the time. The fools almost had a true exclusive on their hands had they just dug a little deeper.
Stupid joke aside, Jimmy Fallen did get to use the controller the day of or the night after the reveal. Since then, some journalist for game magazines have as well (Edge and Game Informer, if my memory serves me).
As for the secret, I'm hoping for inductive charging. I don't know why that would require them to not let people touch the controller though. Unless perhaps they're aiming for a contact based charge system like the DS3 Charge Station but without the need for the USB port adapters. That would require exposed metal contacts that would be easily visible for someone looking (and they haven't really shown the back of the controller outside of renders).
Honestly, both next-gen consoles could be awful and annoying with shitty tools, but devs would still release PR saying how great they are because they need to be able to sell games on them. They're not going to say, "Buy our great game on this shitty console." Not that I think PS4 is going to be bad. I'm assuming it's going to be great. There just really isn't any information in that link at all. It's just the expected fluff you get from someone that wants to sell you something.
Well, I had an inductive charging system. It lasted 6 months. -_-
How effective is the wireless charger you use ? I have been wanting to try out.
I was referring to the HP Touchstone I use, as I've had that for quite some time with no issues. That's a complete OEM solution (the charger and the tablet) with no add-on components or adapters (just plug the Touchstone up, and place the tablet on it). It's been great, even with a full body cover on the tablet.
However, I get the impression you're looking for a universal wireless charging station with device specific adapters? That I don't have. But I do use the DS3 Charge Station I linked to earlier. You attach a small adapter on top the DS3's USB port. The adapter has a metal contact that faces the backside of the controller. The contact acts as a guide of sorts and allows you to slide the controller in and out of the base unit without plugging anything in. I wouldn't really consider it a wireless charging solution in the same vein as the Touchstone, but I still love its convenience and the reduction in cable clutter.
Diablo 3 looks fine at 2400x1500. But the assets are low res to fit the sort of "dreamy" arty look it's going for. So, I'm sure it'll look fine at 1080p on a TV.

In that sense I wonder if the PC isn't going to be hindrance for next gen consoles because of all-encompassing hardware around.Diablo 3 looks fine at 2400x1500. But the assets are low res to fit the sort of "dreamy" arty look it's going for. So, I'm sure it'll look fine at 1080p on a TV.
