Xbox is set to pass the one million unit mark in the UK within the next few weeks, pushed on by a new high value retail bundle and ever-improving software range.
During private meetings with leading retailers, Microsoft revealed at its X03 event in France that a new £149 bundle featuring Halo, Midtown Madness and two months free Xbox Live access will roll out to the High Street by the beginning of next month.

Better than the el-crapo bundle NA is getting. Clone Wars?!

SW:Clone Wars and Tetris Worlds Online......makes the JSRF/SegaGT bundle look like gold.

Halo and Midtown Madness, now thats a bundle worth owning.

anyways, couple the CloneWars/Tetris bundle and MS going after the kiddie market. I think some people at MS Home and Entertainment Division have lost their minds.

Maybe, but since Xbox is really just a delivery vehicle for Live it makes sense to bundle Live - enabled games. Personally I think they should have bundled - MechAssault and Midtown Madness 3, but they were obviously shooting for something a little cheaper.

Yea, if your going to give free XBlive, got to include live enabled games..
that would make it a mega attractive deal.
or at least one live game.
Mech Assault and Halo would be a crazy attactive deal.
or a good racing bundle, I still personally feel Xbox has the best
racing selection, I don't know why but PGR and Rallisport just stand out
above other racers in my book..

MS needs to bundle the GTAVC/GTA games this Christmas. With no real big hyped AAA blockbuster game coming this year (excluding Ninja Gaiden) the XB would have another phenomenal Christmas shopping season. XB Live is a barren wasteland right now afaic. Until Halo 2 there is nothing that really jumps out at me. I think the bundle with the free 2 months of XBLive prove that new subscriptions have slowed dramatically. It jumped to 400,000 subscribers in like the first 3 months. Then spent the better part of the year getting to 500,000. It's still not much above that number, last time MS showed something.

I think a game like Voodoo Vince would do really well on XB if MS would just try to promote it. It seems MS is having as much (or more) trouble getting adventure/platformers to sell well as Nintendo is with 'M' rated games sales on Gamecube. BTW I'll post VV impressions in the coming days. My XB has'nt seen a game since KoTOR.

I thought Ninja Gaiden was now delayed till 2004? I heard this the other day, I really really hope not though..

Well at X03, Tecmo confirmed it was still on track for December, and since this is one title they (Tecmo, Microsoft... Xbox owners. ;) ) REALLY don't want to have slip past the holiday season, I expect any efforts they need to complete it on time will be doubled and redoubled if need be.

But of course, anything can happen. I'm sure the speculation is out there, but the last official statement I know of confirms no delay.

Of course right now I'm much more interested to know if we'll be getting certain PC titles on Sept. 30th or not. Heh...

I'm hoping a certain PC title will run fine on my PC ;)

I'm sure it will though at pretty good details, P4 1.7, 512mb, 128mb 8500.

You should visit Walmart.com http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=w5QyEdQY5lA&offerid=40579.10000008&type=3&
Splinter Cell and MechAssault are the two bundled games they offer.
It's been like that since July and will remain so until at least Christmas.

I'm surprised nobody said anything about the Splinter Cell and MechAssault bundle that Wal-Mart has going. That would have been a lot better than the new one coming.
