So, we can assume what the old (05/29/2006) 1up article was telling is wrong...?Bad_Boy said:heres an example of what the cut scenes will look like...
Also, in case anyone is wondering, we should point out that the above image is artwork from Resistance, not a screenshot from the game.
I rather take subtitles, but I guess in countries where you've accustomed to movies being dubbed, the games being dubbed too might be a good thing.Shifty Geezer said:That's a really nice feature, and hopefully will become standard for PS3. Giving people the option to listen to their native language rather than learnt language is definitely a good thing. Non repeating voices is also very welcome.

No, 1up is right. Those are concepts/art. I was just giving the example of what the cutscenes will look like. Same style. It's better if you can find the scans, they give some small sample pictures.one said:So, we can assume what the old (05/29/2006) 1up article was telling is wrong...?

That is so true!xmu said:Well I agree to a point, but it depends on the game really. Sometimes you breathe new life into a game by just changing the language, and for example in PES you just have to throw the rubbish English commentator out of the window and change to Spanish

"Oy oy oy...GGGOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!"
The best was PES4 (I think that' the one). Since then they haven't had the same enthusiasm. I don't think there's many games that'd work though.

- The 6 axis function of PS3 will be used many ways that are being kept secret right now, but gave one example of being able to shake the controller to get a monster off of you.
Yeah indeed, if you are interested in the actual quotes on the matter...pc999 said:That is really good news, cant wait to know what more things can one do with it. This kind of use can change my mind.
The game will make use of the PS3 controller's motion-sensing technology in many different ways. While most of those plans are still a closely guarded secret. Insomniac did share one little gem: when a Chimeran grabs you, you can shake the controller wildly to break free before he takes a bite.
...
in the Q&A section...
PSM: The controller's motion sensors--other than that one example I saw, can you reveal any more funtions at this point?
TED: Nope.
PSM: But there will be more?
TED: Yeah. We want to make sure that we do a lot of play testing before we put our stamp of approval on it and go out and say, "Hey, Chris, this is exactly how we're using it." It will probably be closer to the launch that we will be telling people how we ended up putting it in.
thanks man, very good long read.Yarden24 said:www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=10207
its an interview with Ted Price, CEO of Insomniac Games
whoa nice, I thought they would just hit the wall blocking the enemy and that would be it.We can have Bullseye bullets that not only bend around corners to track enemies ...
That little bit caught my eye.The other thing is Blu-ray. The fact that we’ll eventually be able to unlock more layers for up to 100GBs of storage is pretty impressive
Yeah I think those are e3 floor shots. But since you posted them, I think its worth noting that Ted has said in a recent interview that the e3 demo shown of the outside area (the area of those screens) are actually only 1/5th of the entire level that will be featured in the game. And the inside lab map demo was only 1/3rd of the size of the actual level.Jesus2006 said:
Bad_Boy said:(if those shots are not at e3, feel free to correct me, it just looks like the e3 setups with the image with the man playing)
Ah, maybe Jesus was right then.3roxor said:They mention the screens are from a 'new build'. Don't know where they got that info from though.
ok then, switching sides... again. i knew they looked familar!Mmmkay said:They are from E3. And fyi 3roxor, 'bilder' as mentioned on Gamefront, is German for pictures.
