That looks pretty good to me. Pretty damn good. Just needs some touchups on NPC animations and AI.

yeah it's come a lonnggg way. wassup with those mtv shots shown a few months back? looks to be the xbox version lol

1. Nice for an Xbox "port" -- this confirms IGN's E3 info about PDZ looking very good and similar recent ports
2. MS must have monkeys working in PR
3. I am looking forward to seeing what Rare can do with a title starting at ground zero with real hardware in hand.

the textures and effects are beautiful - that wall for example was stunning!

however it really feels let down by the animations of the enemies... especially their reactions to getting shot... to be brutally honest that bit looked rubbish imo.

really, really hope the animations improve, because this game really is looking good in every other aspect

Ditto. The animation is poor. Not many FPS have very solid animations when the people move (even games with high sample rates sometimes look really stuff), the only FPSs I can think of that have decent animation when the guys die is HL2/CS:S, and even then they do not "React" to your shots until they die. I cannot wait until animation blending (like in Havok 2) is refined and working well.

So far if one aspect of next gen gameplay sequences has let me down, it has been animation. Maybe that is why games like PGR3 look so good--they are just cars. Madden, N3, etc... all have that stiff mocap feeling. Kameo seems to be ok (outside of the scenes with all the trolls and elves) but it seems it is more of an exception to the rule (and even Kameo is one of those genres where the cartoony nature allows you to side step some of the typical problems of animating real people).

Finally watched the second vid. The death animations are really stupid looking. They fly backwards.

The art style sort of reminds me of Namco's Time Crisis.

I love the dodge roll. Brilliant! The grahics are stellar.

I'M NOT TROLLING!! But I wish the bricks had more a real grimey dirty look. They look wet and slimly like. But what I do like about the walls is that they look hard. Alot more solid than this generation. And the havok physics when they die look to non-realistic. I'm waiting on naturalmotion's death animations. People don't fold like that in real life when they get shot.

it's the quality of the vid that makes it look wet and the lighting on the bricks.
