The images was shrunk becouse the site was made for people that has 800x600 browser res, I know. It seems I have been talking about my dislike for small ss and you about why they had small ss there. Sorry my bad but I would have been nice to see them have embedded link for each image for a high res shot for thoose with 1024x768+ desktop res!

And I was assuming that they where shrunk down (or choosen over higher res ones at other sites) to hide flaws UNTIL someone pointed out that they are the only one hosting these ss. You see I thought several sites had these shots and that they would have it at 720p res as when other ss have been released (I also thought I ahd seen them before).

No prob, I guess you`re still pissed that your PS3 died ? Didn`t you get a replacement ?

Fan falied, got my heart in my throut when I smelled the familiar smell of "burned PSU". Couple of days and a new is back under the TV. ;)

It seems you are jumping the gun and ignoring my other posts as Ostepop posted after I had said what I meant with they and before I knew it was the only site hosting these ss... rep abuse.

You attacked the developer of this game, you claimed they used small screenshots to make their game look better. As anyone who actually follow this thread would know not to be the case. I went back and quoted your original post, that still stood unchanged. I suggest you change it if instead.

I like how everybody jumped nebula here.

Generally speaking, its common knowledge that developers\PR department either downsamples or add's AA to screenshots in order to get higher IQ.

Generally speaking on B3D, this fact is usually only accepted in X360 games threads, weras if you comment on bullshot AA in a hyped PS3 game, you get flamed.

The irony is thick here. I made specific comments about downsized screenshots in two games in the last few weeks, GTA4 (cross platform) and Uncharted (PS3) and got zero flames. The only time I got "flamed" was in the was the SC5 thread by you know who and friends, hence the irony in your response here. I also quoted you many calls bullshot in the Ratchet thread, so you are being a little less than honest in your cry of bias.

I said they, not Ninja Theory. They could mean those who downsize images and uploads them on imagehack, or sites who hosts the ss or the devs.

And the fact that you ignored this post below that was posted before Ostepops post which you responded to;

Post 416 previous page,

They could refer to either the origin site, users or the devs. I could have written it clearer but of course I wasn't accusing Ninja Theory for the small images as there was and is no link from the user that posted those images to the orignal source of the ss. So then how could I know who resized them?

And yet ignored my post 416, and in the heated discussion I forgot to change the first post to be more clear, yet it doesn't excuse youre ignorance.

Now let's end this discussion here as I dont see more things to dwell upon. :D

You made your post in a thread about Heavenly Sword, you were posting about Screenshots from Heavenly Sword, in the 3 posts that followed you were still defending that the reason the Screenshots were small was to make them look good.

But i see you changed your post, in a childish way but i´m sure it gets the point across in more than one way :)

Well not to dwell upon it much more but...

In the first 3 post it was not known to me that the s came from a site that had reasons to shrink them down. No link was provided from the user that posted the ss so I could not check. The ss he posted was from his IMAGEHACK account. It was not known to me that this site fromd India where the ONLY one hosting this ss.
But I think I've said practically the same as I said above in several posts in this thread, just that this is a testament to how some skip lines/posts (or selective reading).

Really I could have done the same either in the MS, Lair, Uncharted, HALO3, Foza2, Crysis, Stalker, {insert any game]. So as I said I was not targeting the devs (Ninja Theory) becouse I know they release high-res ss becouse I posted some here to and several. I just dislike small ss and in this case there was a special reason for them being small but in many others there is none.
I should add that becouse a ss is small it doesn't mean it is the devs that made them small, it could be the poster, site hosting them or devs.
And impossible to know when there is no source posted with the ss which every proper poster should add unless the images are his/her porperty.

But i see you changed your post, in a childish way but i´m sure it gets the point across in more than one way :)

Yeah but then nobody can miss the changes right, no mather how fast they read it? :D

Owkay, I'm bookmarking this thread so I can read the last 3 pages when I have some spare time.

Priceless discussion imo.

Can't wait for this game... :Q______

It looks so good! Even though they seem to keep showing the same locations over and over, each time they show they they look better and better.

Love the lighting. Such terrific range. They also seem to have added volumetric fog since last time. Or at least improved on the effect.

Can't wait to see this in motion on the big screen.

The only defect I’ve seen from the trailers imho is that when I hit an enemy it misses the sensasion of weight. They are too light and also the objects in the screen literally fly away when they are hit. Sometimes it seems that nariko doesn’t hit the enemy even if this fall just for the reason that I have explained.

That's kind of keeping with martial arts movie tradition, tho; people hop around very weightlessly and so all sorts of crazy. ;) I guess the grunts could stand to have a bit more "dead weight" to them, but it's hard for Nariko to get off her combos and flairs that way.

I'd have that complaint much more with a game like Virtua Fighter than with an epic, "you are stronger than the universe... now kill them!" game. :p

Honestly I would prefer a "full weight" approach to combat, rather than the wire fu one. The first build (the one seen at e3 2006) and the Tokyo 2006 one were really good in that (apart the weightless movement in air of the soldiers after being wiped out). About the old builds, I wonder why the framerate is so higher than in the new ones. Maybe I didn't noticed something important, but aside some new particle effects, some skin shaders and specular, I do not notice a great difference in the overall aspect of the game. So why the new builds have a low framerate? The bad doubt is that the older ones ran on the first ps3 devkits, and that maybe those kits were more powerful than the final ps3 hardware. I thought the same thing when I saw the Metal Gear Solid trailers that followed the first one: while the old one shows a framerate stable on 60 frames and a very wide hdr, the new ones are low on both features.
Please, NaO or DeanoC, tell me that my doubt is wrong! ;)

... please

I guess you haven't seen the remastered trailer. ;)

Excuse me, I tought you were talking about HS...
Anyway, I saw the remastered MGS trailer, and it runs a lot better, but even having a stable frame rate, it still don't reach 60 fps like the first one, and the hdr seems quite less wide. In addition, optimization permitted to reach this new level, after a slightly long time. Why the first one was so superior?
It will be wonderful anyway... :D

I downloaded the trailer from the PStore and the quality was pretty iffy. I saw artifacts and banding pretty bad.

I don't believe it was ever 60fps. Previous demos were in a closed arena. There is a big difference. Anywho I wouldn't worry about the framerate...remember you're going to be fighting against a thoasand plus enemies...with them all on screen...so framerate will have to be spot on.
