New AMD / ATI graphics logo revealed

IMO, the logo is "ok" - it fits as a sticker/something in a computer case better than the old, but then again, I think I prefer the old one on retail packages.

you, sir, are not alone. the old old logo was all cool and hieroglyphic-like. the newer one is more of a font and less a logo.

I personally like the old logo..........but the new one is easier to discern quicker - so maybe this is what was behind their thinking.

I heard the new and improved "chrisray" is trying to order these boards through Hector Ruiz...

But yeah I wonder why AMD is "investing" in a new logo (anyone know how much they payed a design bureau to come up with this?) that just doesn't fit with the AMD brand.
I had expected it to become more in-line with amd's current logo's...
