New 360 Pic (Memory Card)

It's most likely a fake, I remember having seen such stuff around when I was a lot younger, can't remember if it was an alternative to tapes or something.

I really thought everyone took that for a fake...

Who says the memory card has a proprietary connector? It could be USB, SD, Compact Flash, etc. The shape of the slot could possibly keep current and/or standard memory cards or drives from being used.
Which defeats the point of MS using an existing format. If they won't allow cross-appliance uses for the XB360 memory cards, whether due to connectors, formats or just size of the casing, it boils down to the same thing - providing a proprietary format to maximise returns on consumables.

I agree, but this is in contrast to what MS has said about supporting USB. I could see how they could make it such that only MS mfg cards would fit correctly in the slot. Or they could just sell the memory card adapters minus the memory and charge big bucks for those. Have you seen the non-licensed CompactFlash Memory Card Adapter for the current Xbox?
