PalmChip = the hardware division of Palm? I doubt they'd want to piss off their best customer and white knight, ie: Sony.

I welcome stuff like this, better that the big boys be held ransom by some little peeps who use patents than the usual use of patents of big business to protect their market share.

This way something might actually change. Obviousness needs to be reinstated as a reason to refuse a patent, and we need a better subjective way of testing it than letting it be tried by a courtroom of clueless people trying (and probably failing) to make heads or tales of expert testimony (Im ignoring patent examiners as usefull parties in the determination, since they arent).
