My PSP impressions

OK, at my local Computer Exchange here in leeds (CeX), they have a few imported PSP's, and one of the guys there was playing Ridge Racer behind the counter. So of course I badgered him about it. Most people didn't notice they actually are selling them in the shop window (£325, and $45 a game), but I creamed the second I saw one.

I played for about 30 seconds, so I can't really say much about the game. The weight "felt right", and the control was better than i hoped. It felt like holding an odd shaped dual shock. The four main buttons are a bit too close together for my fingers though.

Shame I had to give it back

Well, in England it is illegal for police to search your underwear. They can search you everywhere but there.

Then again, I half expected you'd WANT to have your underwear searched...

But hey! What about those that go commando? They should have the right to put on a pair of underwear BEFORE being searched!

Trust me, it's something that turns out to be useful many times... No one will search in ur underwear, at least in England. There are exceptions, but i'm not too clear about that.

The average pat down search doesn't cover underwear... but even in my ample pant area, the PSP would probably stick out...

I find it odd that pants refer to undies in the UK

i order them for 350euro including a game and postage at my door . lucky me
i found the analog nub a bit strange in the beginning but like it alot now actually!
i took my psp to work yesterday to show of to a few friends,
1st thing i heard! "whoah look at that screen"
how much does it cost's
"whoah look at that screen" again

So the UK always has and always will get outrageously high prices. Or at least outrageously higher than in most other countries.

Yes but even so it's still a "hardcore" price IMO for a psp. I'm guessing that when it does get released here it'll be about £179.99 maybe less. I'm probably going to import anyway once the price on play-asia and lik-sang drops to around about the levels that sony announced for the psp.

Oh the UK units will obviously be priced more in line with Sony's price point, but it's normal in the UK to get ripped off. Happened every single time, the UK having higher prices than most other countries. And not only for game consoles, really.

Well I live in AZ,


We have a specialty game store that has imports etc and they wanted $500 U.S. for the PSP I had to walk out laughing no matter how much i wanted I would not pay that much
