MS pushing hard for devs to include online coop for X360

I think this is an excellent idea. There are many people who are turned off of online gaming because the competition gets so intense. So many people who play online take the game very seriously and know every little trick in the book. It's intimidating when you join an online game for the first time, and everybody seems to know exactly what they're doing except you. I think a lot of people would love to play through a game cooperatively with a friend rather than trying to kill each other. I think online co-op is going to draw lots of subscribers to Live.

I don't think so. People don't want to be dependent on other people.

You're right, gaming is too much stress!! :?

When games like APB come out this is going to explode.

Imagine GTA with 2 or 3 of your buddies riding along with you, covering your back etc, it would be damn cool.

I seriously think the only thing that's going to explode when games like APB come about is going to be the move to regulate them. We'll see though! ;)

Well, a 4/8/16 player co-op game of Halo 3 would certainly be nice. Master Chief and his marines, or a counter-op team of Covenant enemies. :)

I'd like bots though... There really is no excuse this time.

"But everyone prefers real oponents!"

As in, irritating yelling/singing/... (insert word) children on Xbox Live? I want bots!

Actually, their excuse is that you should just play the campaign in co-op ;)

Excellent news. I've always liked co-op games, even since the first Doom. It's been a shame that most PC-games have dropped supporting the coop-mode.

Even still we play NWN and OFP with couple of my friend. NWN is a good example of a decent game which really shines when played with other people. OFP has a nice single player mode too but it's a blast when played in coop.

deffinetly co-op is whrer it at IMO, I don't have time to play a single game 20 hours a week to master it, I'd liek to be able to hop in with a group of players some more experienced than others and be able to keep up and compete or atleast add ot the batter instead of getting wasted and respawning every 30 seconds.

I've been diggin co-op since it wsa first release on Ghost Recon 1 on Xbox a few years ago now.
