MS guarantees that Xbox 360 games will look better than PS3!

Btw I just took a look on the article. It seems that he believes 360 has a visual adandage over PS3 because it had a one year head start which gave developers experience and helped evolve dev tools. I think he ommits the fact that during the same period developers have been gaining experience with the PS3 as well despite that it is unreleased

After playing these 3 titles ,and getting confermatin that all 3 of these will be available on November 17th, I will be buying all 3 of these games, Like i stated before you can defenetly tell the difference between a 360 game and a ps3 game , and its not something you have to look for, its apparent from the start , the graphics are so clear , the effects and shadows and everything are just sooo nice , and iff you didnt notice, on all 3 that i played the frame rate neer droped not once at all, to me and alot others this is huge, i havnt played a 360 game yet that dont have frame rate issues ( besides knockout kings, wich is awesome ) . I went in there a bit sceptical, just a bit, and walked out completley 100% happy with what i seen and played,

Well whaddya know! Looks like there is a slight disagreement already.

Not to mention that some developers actually use the 360 version as a learning experience for their later released PS3 version. Examples abound here, and he's taken a very big risk by saying this. Take for example a game like Ridge Racer, which has a 6 version on 360, and will get a 7 version on PS3 at launch, which has three new tracks that look better, has better detail, and has 1080p support. Or take even Oblivion, which also appears to have some improvements as well as extra content in the PS3 version (of course, here we don't know yet if there are also drawbacks).

Then we already have the NBA 07 team indicating that the PS3 version will look better, the NBA Live version will have 1080p, etc. That the 360 has been released earlier will offer a small advantage, but not in terms of graphics, but in terms of games making it to the market sooner. It will be interesting to see what will happen once multi-platform games are released at the same date (if ever).

And finally, I think he's banking on people not comparing too much games by the PS3 exclusive developers like Insomniac and Naughty Dog to 360 games, because they will probably rarely have competing products in that area.

Oh well, everyone says something stupid at some point.

Wow. He's practically begging for a class action lawsuit.

Not much to sue on really unless i'm missing something.

If the claim was backed by a full refund guarantee ("satisfied or your money back" kind of scenario), i'm sure things wouldn't be so easy.

It's just PR, and bad one at that too, but these days i'm not surprised of anything anymore...

Personally, i would rather go for a "We guarantee the games you will find on 360 will be more fun than the ones on PS3!" approach, much like Nintendo are doing. Sounds much better to me. Graphics are SO last century.

Besides we already know that between X360 and PS3, if there is a difference in graphics it will al be down to design choices and art, which will influence the look of a game much more than silly "i can do more shaders" or "i can store higher precision formats" differences between the two architectures.

You are aware that your two examples are both among the lowest rated 360 games available, right?

Not exactly the best examples to pick if you were to compare which systems games has better graphics in November.

I'm pretty certain that Gear of War will blow NBA07's graphics out of the water, making that point moot.

Maybe he is figuring the likes of Epic, Rare, Bungie, and Blizzard will handle anything those Sony 2 devs can produce.

It's not the greatest gameplay by any means, but from a pure graphical standpoint I would still put Kameo against anything I've seen for the PS3 launch.

Silly statement:LOL:

Launch PS3 games completely blow launch 360 games out of the water visually and is easily on par with second generation 360 games.

Just IMHO

I dont think he would disagree with you. I believe what he was trying to say is that he cant claim such a think when PS3 gets the same games (multiplatform) with enhancements. Besides these are the closest thing you can get to "apples to apples" comparison. Exclusie games on the other hand are too different to even make a fair comparison (not that the former is 100% fair). Exclusive games are a different matter, and again there its hard to judge and conclude that the 360 has the upper hand or the opposite

Kameo? Personally I disagree. I dont think Kameo deserves such a credit

"I guarantee that Xbox 360 games will look better than PS3."

Time to drop all the class action, and slander lawsuits. What we really want to know is - will Xbox 360 games will look better than PS3 games? Smart these PR guys huh?

That's irrelevent to the claim. He didn't claim that multiplatform games on the 360 would look better.

I don't believe an "apples to apples" comparison was ever intended. It's just mroe convienient for PS3 fans to make because exclusive to exclusive comparisons, at least around the launch window is clearly on MS's side.

Oh, it's not that hard to say "this games graphics look great, while that one isn't quite as good" even if they are completely different game styles or genres. It's actually quite simple.

For instance, I think GRAW looks tons better than Ridge Racer 6.

See, that wasn't hard, nor unfair. Are they different games with completely different graphics styles? Sure, but what does that matter if the question is simply "which looks better?"

Really? Care to name the PS3 launch game that you think has better overall graphics??

I can already see many of the same Kutaragi bashers defending this no-name "Teversham" character on his antics this time.

Out of curiosity..which PS3 launch game do you think doesn't look better..?

Do you own or play a 360 regularly?

If you play through Kameo, techinically and visually it has moments where it is amazing...from particle effects to parallax mapping to sheer numbers of enemies on screen... add to that that the game was done a year ago... and mostly not on final hardware

If Kameo launched THIS year given the same extra time as PS3 launch titles... it most definitely would BLOW everything in that genre out of the water but hey it already does that and its a year old...
