Movie Reviews 2.0

I fully agree. I had the exact same issues and was very disappointed...and yes, same goes for Iron Man 3.
If you wanna complain about crybaby superheroes, watch either Spiderman 2 or Green Lantern. You can't beat either of those two...ugh!

I wasn't bothered by Batman being a crybaby in TDR, I just thought the movie itself was lacking, and too long. And Gotham looked just like fucking new york city. That was shit, seriously. Gotham is Gotham. Not NYC.

Oh, and Bane was a boring badguy, you didn't get a good sense of where he came from or what motivated him to go on an insane murder spree. So he was born in a hole in the ground, and because of that he has to kill millions of people. Wut? Also, didn't map to the uber-steroids-boosted bane of the comics.

I'm re-watching Highlander on BR today. Shit, I don't remember nothing of that movie! Almost. It could very nearly have been the first time I saw it, very strange. Didn't even re-recognize Clancy Brown in other roles (such as in Shawshank Redemption) when I saw him in later movies, it's only now that I realize that it really was him all along who played Kurgan. Hah! I'm trying to figure out how long ago it was since I last saw Highlander, but I can't. It has to be pre-1990.

Damn. That's a long time ago!

It's seriously dated, by modern standards. Everything about it is a bit lame, especially the special effects of course and the sets, and the fight choreography isn't anywhere of the class you see in modern flicks, but it's got spirit, and the fundamentals of the movie is still sound. It has withstood the test of time. I'm liking it, again, a lot.

8/10! :)

Yeah...TDR felt so long...but I guess this was the case because nothing happened during the first two hours or so. And Babe just didn't do it for me either.

But all this Batman talk made me rewatch Batman Begins :) very cool movie.

Now, up to some Dark Night action :)

Also watched Riddick. I quite liked it. But I am also a Riddick fanboy. Is quite close to Pitch Black if you ask me, which is a good thing for me. I really like the beginning...brital and deadly, not much talking :)

Nice.

World War Z. I liked it. Fairly simple plot (infection leads to zombies) but the acting matched the tone (a more serious zombie flick). The ending was really weak, as if they just stopped filming.

I feel that 8/10 is a little generous.

On the other hand, Christopher Lambert's Scottish accent is so bad, that must be worth a couple of points for entertainment value!

Highlander 2020 (may have been just Highlander 2 in the US) may just be the worst film I've ever seen. I was about to walk out of the cinema when it just, ended. Almost as if everyone involved with the movie realised what they were doing and just decided to down tools and fuck off for a pint.

Highlander 2 was fucking awful for sure, but G.I. Joe beats it from a just-plain-terrible-awful perspective. In fact GIJ gets so much worse simply from having ~100x the budget of Highlander 2...

The first GI Joe movie? That one gets a thumbs up from me just from the sheer amount of hot women in it.

Speaking of bad movies, I watched After Earth last night ... phew, sure happy I didn't catch that one in the cinema!

Oh, and Sharknado (which not entirely surprising) were complete garbage. Probably the worst movie ever made.

I think Daredevil and Green Lantern need to get together and kills themselves for spawning such horrible cinema adaptions.

My sassy girl: Another Korean movie. WARNING: There is an incredibly shitty American remake as well. Don't go anywhere near that POS.

Anyway, this movie is awesome. Don't be fooled by the romantic comedy keywords, just watch this movie. I guarantee you'll laugh all the way. Even my brothers liked this movie and they hate Asian movies.

It's about a crazy chick (Not too far from your average Korean girl judging by the few Korean girls I know) and her aspiring spineless boyfriend. First they hate each other and then blablabla. The usual. But you really have to watch this movie to understand as though the story might follow a fairly standard path, it's really good and fun to watch.

All I can say is this movie makes me regret I moved to Japan and not Korea. That country is full of cool crazy chicks that punch you and probably outdrink you as well. Instead I'm stuck with spineless, opinion less girls that are wasted after one sip of beer. That is if they even drink beer...

Anway, watch it :)

Yes me too I am soo bummed that movie studios had no interest in paying for the next installment so it really won't be what it could be.
