Motorstorm screens

I love that top-down pic of the mud! Brings back memories of Glastonbury, when I thought it'd be funny to run and then slide along the mud in my wellies, only for it to flick into the eye of an unsavoury chap (known in the UK as a pikey)..

Famitsu just gave this game some good scores:

Motorstorm: 8,8,8,6

I think the game will score higher in the Western gaming press as well - it's just an awesome experience.

And even in the E3 '06 demo the mud was deformable; indeed the big rigs and heavier vehicles are the ones to do it. Best of all, it changes the course and dynamics for the smaller vehicles that have to traverse said mud grooves.

sorry here's a dumb question, are these latest shots with the sloppy mud realtime or touched up art?

If its realtime then the IQ has taken a huge step up especially the textures. I know one of the latest previews says some of the scenery is near photorealistic and these pics seem to support that claim. All the movies Ive seen so far don't look as good as this in terms of IQ.

This is the latest build and it does look a lot better than the previous PSN demo and kiosk builds.
They've made huge progress since E3. I can't wait to see this build in motion.
Kikizo were blown away by it: http://games.kikizo.com/news/200611/101_p1.asp

I love the humorous ending by the narrator in that multidimensional-link, given above. :)
I tought the Cell beeing smarter than me were funny, but this one I burst out laughing.
Motorstorm looks awesome, hurry up March. :)

December 15, 2006 - Today Evolution Studios announced that its next-gen racing game MotorStorm is the best-selling PlayStation 3 game in Japan.

*********************

How much did it sell in Japan, anyone knows? :???:

About 7,000 - 8,000 on the first day. And Gundam and RR7 sold between 8,000 - 10,000 all of last week, so I guess they are happy to see these sales compared to the other PS3 games sales.
