Those conversation portions actually DONT look boring as hell! I read in a preview that you can start to select your response to an NPC while theyre speaking so the conversation can flow and feel natural, i'm starting to get the idea with this little snip.

I think if Mass Effect makes it to this holiday season..it will be a contender for game of the year.

And to think, we're guarenteed 3 of 'em. (plus interim episodic content)

All I can say is, wow! Simply beautiful. It's already a given Bioware will deliver a rock solid game. I just hope it has atleast 40-50 hours of gameplay and doesn't follow suit of most next-gen games that can be beaten in a short amount of time.

New Stage interview with BioWare devs from Edmonton and it sounds like a massive, complex game where you are IN a movie controlling what happens

the graphics are serious here in the facial details and animation and they have a new intuitive conversation system

scroll down to "Mass effect stage show"

the graphics in this demo are brief (some at 5:30 some at 6:30-ish, 9:40)

Can't say that i'm impressed...seem to be relying on shaders a little too much. Not only that, but they're pretty bad, plastic looking, and way too colorful for my taste.

For a RPG, it's pretty hot looking. These type of games never reached the detail level of a top-FPS so far. But overall, it's certainly not best of the best, except for the models.

I think the above gameplay-screen is a big difference with the one beneath. Love the detail and atmosphere on the alien screen.

They seem to be putting lots of effort in making the models and characters come to live with extra gfx-detail, comversations and animation (which is I think the right choice if you can't do all it all). Looking at the pretty straightforward 'scenery gfx' it's suddenly not so hot anymore . Ground textures always seem to come last in priority in games, we still get that 'flat groundlook' in too many games. Time for some more parallex diffuse mapping stuff.

The main-character also needs serious eye-improvement. He's got the same static dead look in his eyes in every screen. Like he's wearing a mask.

All in all, Bioware means quality. Even though they may not be contender's for best gfx ever, they sure know how to bring a RPG to life with lot's of atmposphere, great storylines and good gameplay. I think this is gonna be a systemseller for the 360, they may even give Square's FFXIII a hard time.

This game looks very beautiful.. Both in terms of gfx, animation and game-play.. Hope they will reveal more and this comes just in time for holiday season..

However, this demo also reminds me Farscape a lot.. Commander shepherd, the aliens.. I do not know.. I have a feeling that I have seen these before :)

It looks utterly amazing, easily the best looking next-gen console game IMO. I have to buy an X360 when the game comes out now.
