More hits to the heart for the 4 PE's CPU fans (CELL)

Code:
I/O <--->[IOP]<=>[CELL]<=>[CELL]<=>[GPU]---> Output

At least it's an IC and if it's the IOP, then this is possible! 8)

Yeah looks like it! :( ...But at least this wafer also has this other, mystery IC with the CELLs directly from the IBM fab...

Yeah I like this configuration :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: with EE+GS@90nm as the IOP :D

I can't recall where I saw the 'BPA' first, but it stands for "Broadband Processor Architecture" apparentlly... it's an alias of the Cell architecture, which is distinguished from the Power architecture.

http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1768416,00.asp
"Broadband Processor Architecture [BPA] is the formal name for the architecture of the Cell family of processors," said Brandow. "BPA extends the Power architecture with coherent off-load accelerators and real-time management functions."
