The official web site is open now.

According to the developers interview by Famitsu, the game contains NO prerendered movies and buildings are all destructible.

Yeah, the trailer did look quite nice.

Too bad what i've seen in gameplay is god awful

What? The gameplay graphics or the actual gameplay?

Because the game graphically looked pretty good at E3, though the gameplay was really lacking by the looks of it. The controls looked really slugish, hopefully they address that issue before release (though they are huge mechs, which in reality wouldn't be very maneuverable ).

E3 Gameplay footage here: http://www.ps3portal.com/downloads/Mobile Suit Gundam/E306-PS3-Gundam-Gameplay-720P.wmv

Wow, that definately looks way better than the e3 build of the game. (which was slow and sluggish, not to mention the map looked empty as hell) I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the gameplay, it was supposedly 10% done at e3, and famitsu says 60% now. The one part where the gundam is walking, looks a lot faster than e3 was.

I figure it should hit japan sometime around launch, I wonder if this will come to US.

nice find, one.

I saw some scans recently and the draw distance was really short. It didn't look like it had any normal mapping on the mechs either. It's Bandai though but I'd expect that much.

Okay, I just saw the video and the guy can't aim at all.

On a metal surface it can look good. The lighting in general doesn't look too good.
Wouldnt that for the most part make the metal take a different look, almost like a shiny plastic if done wrong? I think the look they were going for orginally works with the anime. You should check the famitsu scans, the gundams look very high poly.

I think the lighting looks rather nice, the self shadowing for example brings it closer to the CG imo.

Yeah, the mechs look fine artistically. I just want more detail in the environment.

The gundams look really good. I wasnt expecting it from Bandai.

Oh, wait a minute, Bandai and Namco are already merged? cuz if thats the case, maybe we can expect better bandai games thanks to namco developers.

Thy real backdrop of the trailer is the draw distance. In the forest level it was horrible.

not bad , the mountains look horrible though.

Fog is most often used to hide horrible draw distance rather than as fog effect itself

Parts look pretty spiffing, but most doesn't show nearly enough yet to rate it against, say, Chromehounds. (And certainly it won't be the same kind of customizable mech game.)

I'm much more curious to see what shape the overall gameplay will take. (Active, strategic, customization, overall worldscape...)
