i actually think that's a really good result given all the xbonre negativity out there. in fact almost shocking to me, normally such polls would end up with 90% giving it a 1 or something. more people rated it 3 or higher than below, so, actually a positive average.

kind of reenforces that i thought it was a pretty good conference.

There is a Sony version to if interested.

Although the XB1 is not coming with a headset it doesn't really need one since it comes with Kinect, but for those that want a personal headset here's what it looks like...

Hopefully they have some more expensive designs with stereo or 5.1 options.

It comes with the Kinect mic array, which is likely why no separate headset?

na they should have included one. The Kinect will sit over your tv , it will have to have some impressive results to mimic a mic right by your mouth

The current Kinect works good as a headset replacement. I kinda like it better anyway. No cables, no charging.

It's not the microphone that I don't like. I like having that voice in my ear vs over the speakers. Plus, if people calibrate their kinect poorly voice chat quality online could be inconsistent.

Big problem is the back ground noise with a kinect mic system..plus the mic sound comes from the speakers so not good if you have other family around unless you just mute everyone.

I think they showed the Kinect specifically decluttering the background noise form the commands. I don't think it was a problem.

also isn't there a headphone jack on the controller now or was it for after market only? whereby you speak to Kinect but hear through the hp?

Both had their technical problems...which was a bit surprising to see to be honest, felt a bit unprofessional from both companies.

I didnt mind it, these presentations are getting very complex, much more than any we are used to seeing, and these were all on beta hardware of unfinished games, in crunch time for a console launch. People want all in game demos, tons of HD footage, single player, multi player, its just too much, give them all a break.

That's what I keep hearing, but the official press release doesn't say that. I got it late last night myself. :)

And yes, Spark was really cool. Kinda reminded me of Kodu, but more detailed & more fun.

It really had elements of the Kodu UI as well, the interesting thing is my 8-year old watched Spark and then played Kodu for 2-hours. So he saw something that made him think the same, I never gave him the idea.

All I heard for the rest of the day is when can we go get Spark? That and The Division, lol - but he won't be getting that one. Knack oddly was of no interest to him, but I blame the trailer for that.

I must say though that MS is doing a really bad job of letting people know you need internet for this thing. GS was not telling you, it is not easy to find on Amazon, etc. I can still see some outrage when parents discover on Christmas that it won't work unless they give the kids internet. MS does have some good family controls, but I can still see crying kids on day two of the console.

Edit: Minecraft was also a system seller in my house, so that was huge of MS. By far the most played game with my wife and son.

nintendo event has started (in japan i guess?) and thread is still locked

so far they've shown 3d mario and mario kart

also wii party u and wii fit u
