Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

Oh man I miss this theme so bad lol. I wish it was still present in MGS4 & MGS5.
That's a nice cover. Kyle Landry does such a wonderful job.

I wonder how the boss fights will look like in MGSV and if there ll be tricky ones like the one VS Psycho Mantis or vamp.

Previews are out.

Impressions are all highly positive.

i wonder how open the world is when facing emergent gameplay and strategy. When on mission, you are locked to certain area. But hopefully the gameplay itself not locked.

for example in Mafia 1, if you shoot all tires of all cars in parking lot, the enemy wont steal the car. or in some cases he still steal the car but you can quickly kill him on the way. Instead of the original story where you must do high-chase until [scripted event]

I am not watching or reading any of the previews, gotta keep the surprises for the way they are meant to be, but that PS4   ! If I didn't already have one (The first one to be given out in my city, i must add) I would die to get that one ! Absolute and pure  ! I would even hang the box on my wall, the art  !

Oh, btw, can someone link me to Really high res MGS, Bloodborne and Witcher Art? I want to print out posters and Tshirts for myself :D but need high res stuff, like the witcher's medallion, SNake's (shinkawa san)sketch and BB's logo !

My only question is, are the controls improved or are they the same as in Ground Zeroes? I simply can't adjust to them. I've tried, tried again and they remain bloody awful. I like control schemes that are designed for Earth people.

If you think GZ is bad, try digging out some of the older MGS games.... ugh. At least they added a lot of options to customize the controls somewhat. Isn't just about anything changable? I haven't played GZ for a while, I admit, but I thought it was a lot closer to what we have come to expect from 3rd person games or even 1st person ones... maybe I just haven't played it recently enough though. :$

I do remember though being rather baffled by the lack of "killing" mechanics once you KO'ed someone. They are lying there, but there is no way to knive them in their sleep - something I used to do a lot in MGS2, 3 and 4 (to avoid them waking up on me, then signaling for help). Playing a bit of ... hum... the PSP version one, got me to learn the art in fultoning your enemies. I believe this is a rather big aspect of MGS5 too (but missing in GZ?)? So it's not about killing enemies you have KO'ed, but to actually move them out to build up your army? Am I right?

GOTO options and change to 'shooter controls' and they become ur normal game controls. I can't imagine u didn't find that.

Yep. No need to kill your enemy when you can better recruit him to build your own army, The Phantom Pain could have being called Peace Walker 2.

30 years of gaming before they (well, Kojima-san) actually find a good justification to not killing the foes. Before he forced us to use a poor tranquilizing weapon (with limited ammo) into highly important missions (save the world type missions no less) against foes that had mortal weapons...:yep2:

I DIDN"T FIND THAT!!! :runaway: I will revisit Ground Zeroes after W3 and Batman because MGS types of games are right up my alley.
