low yield for the 9600 ???????

IMHO
If RV350's yield are so good - why :
a) there are not many rv350 offerings
b) they are expensive - 9600pro for 200$+ ?!

Well, here in the huge metropolis of Jacksonville  (better known in these parts as "Bubbaville) Florida, Both Best Buy(2 stores) & Compusa(2 stores) have 9600 Pros in stock, with rebate , for $179.99. BTW, there's not a single 5900 of ANY kind available. Online(Pricewatch) there are 3 pages of 9600's from $129.00 delivered, 7 pages of 9600Pro 128 Meg's from $143.74 delivered, 3 companys offering 256 meg 9600Pro's from $189.00 delivered and 2 pages og 9600Pro Ul;tra's from $155.00 delivered.......

no offence, but USA <> world. In my case I'm talking about eastern europe.
Here we have:
MX440 40-60$
5200 60 to 80$ 64/128MB
4200 110-130$ 64/128MB
5600 170-200$ 128/256MB
5800 340$
5900U 410$

Compare with
7000-7500 40-50$
9000 60-70$
9000Pro 80-100$ 64-128MB
9200 - 80-100$ ?! 64-128MB
9500 64MB 150$
9500Pro 200$ - but last 2 weeks its impossible to find (probably eol)
9600Pro 220$
9700Pro 300$
9800Pro 400$

so ... still best buy is GF4200 ... IMHO, and until 200$ mark NV has better card on better price.

You are looking at distribution differences, which doesn't necessarily correlate to a soure issue.
