Lindburgh Is Not Power VR According To Famitsu!

Regular
Scan removed

It's a 3Ghz (probably Northwood) Pentium 4 PC with 2x 512MB of PC3200 and an SM 3.0 nVidia card with 256MB of GDDR3 (6800U?)!!!!

Post removed because it quoted an article on another site that has it there for obvious revenue based reasons. This is your first warning. Do not do this in the future. Any more occurances wil result in a temporary ban.

Thanks for the news, Shog!

I removed the scan, for forum policy reasons, but it seems, indeed, legit.

Exceptionally, I leave the scan of the specsheet only:

If one of the resident members who read Japanese fluently, could translate the info, it would be very appreciated.

GPU: NVIDIA GPU, 256 bit GDDR3 Memory 256 Megabytes. Compatible with Vertex Shader 3.0 and Pixel Shader 3.0. Can output same or different video stream to two screens

hmm, same exact spec as PS3

Uhm i take it this Lindburgh is the new Sega arcade board? No one keeps me in the loop!

If so, doesn't sound too hot to me... Dunno, Naomi2 made me go WOW when it came out, this is a bit of a let down, though i'm sure it will produce some great looking games.

Uhm same exact as a 6800. Though it could be a 7800 too for all we know.

OOPS! I somehow thought JP mag scans were OK. Sorry about that. Too many forums, too many different rules to keep track.

substitute 128-bit memory for the 256-bit GDDR3.

from what I understand arcade boards generally have higher memory spec to help minimize load times. At least it was like that with the current gen arcade hardware.

This was the rumour that got to me, when Lindbergh first surface with HoTD4. My friend in arcade business said it was a system with Intel CPU and NVDIA GPU. My first conclusion was it was an updated Chihiro hardware base on Xbox. Well this is better than I expected I suppose.

From Xbox to Chihiro there is only more RAM, AFAIK, not higher specs for the RAM itself.

I think that's what he meant. More RAM are typical in arcade board, or not unusual.

Lindbergh is more like an Xbox1 on steriods than Xbox360

It seems Lindbergh is what Xbox2 would have been like if Microsoft stayed with its Xbox1 partners.

what happened to PowerVR5 ?

Now this is a surprise, I always thought PowerVR was a part of Lindbergh. I just hope Lazy8s hasn´t commited suicide. :p

Sega? Wtf Ru Doin?
