Li-on battery breakthrough?

Yeah, I thought EEstor was bogus myself, but it certainly gives great credence to them.

Well, it's a U.S. military contract. So I guess it gives a little credence, but the U.S. military does a lot of R&D contracts that never work out or only work out for limited niche use because they are willing to pay much more for their needs to be met than any possible commercial use would find economical.

So I guess it depends on just how skeptical you were in the first place as to just how good a sign you find such a contract.
 
Nanowires still don't really exist outside laboratories in any useful quantity or quality. And the machinery needed to manipulate them is an even bigger problem.
