Anyone here working on interesting community projects that need extra help? I'm looking for something I can work on in a small number of hours each week, not a part time job. I'm pretty good with Java, C and C++. I've done some work with C# and .NET. Databases are not my strong point.

Yeah, any database stuff I've done I've learned on my own. It's not something I have great interest in, though I should probably learn because of its general importance.

That basically leaves websites. Just take a look at the websites of all the shops you know.
