[Moderator]<CENSORED>[/Moderator] WRONG FORUM!! I'm in love, i'm excused! Vysez baby move this to the other kids forum please!

Well i FINALLY got to play my imported copy of SOTC last night and went through the first 3 colossi.

I must say, and many people will be shocked, but i wasn't blown away as much as i though i would be, but there's an explanation, i think i hyped myself to death with this game, and the waiting and the trouble of getting the import copy to work on my non-modded PS2... In the end i loved the game and i had some WOW moments but not as WOW as i thought...
It was also quite late and i'm playing the game on the crappies oldest CRT EVER so i was a bit pissed off with that too (and the fact that my HDTV STILL hasn't come).

So uhm the moral of the thread is... err...

Great game, i just wish i was playing it on a better TV  At least i have my PS2 plugged to the surround sound system and that sub-woofer is given a good workout!

LOVE the design, but i knew a lot about it already so it wasn't a surprise.

The good news is that now i can play imports kinda easily so i'll make sure i get lots of US games that never made it here, or the ones that did make it here but had pro-scan cut off.

[Moderator : no swearing thanks]

...There is more enjoyment in the waiting and expectation than the getting and doing? Always downplay expections or you'll be disappointed? Hype kills games?

... Check what forum u're in before opening a thread would be a good one...

You've went through just the three first colossi? I think you're still very much in the beginning of the game... I don't think you've seen all the "Wow moments" yet.

Yeah it was late. And i had just left my baby and i'm not gonna see him till sunday (he's in Birmingham till then) so i wasn't in the best mood.

So this thread is about you and your boyfriend again, not about Shadow Of The Colossus.
This was just an excuse so you could post about your bf, and posting it first in a wrong forum just proves it!
:D

Just cause you're jealous i have a fabulous boyfriend doesn't mean you can bitch about it all the time!! :devilish:

Shadow of the Colossus.

Oh one thing. I ised Swap Magic 3.6 to play it on a PAL machine, but i think i set it up wrong cause the cutscenes are kinda strange... Like... As if the video is faster than the audio, so the cutscene finishes and freezes until the voice finishes... kinda strange and i'm sure it's a NTSC-PAL issue thing.

(desperately trying to stay on topic, not sure anyone noticed?)

You love studying giant things? What do you mean you love studying giant things? What kind of giant things?

Yes, wait till the later stages in the game, it gets more impressive as you move on. But the sheer "hugeness" of the environment without load times was impressive enough for me. When I first started out I tried to do all the tricks with Agro. After Colossus 6 I think things start to pick up.

But I just loved the ending. The cinematic direction, the fusion of the musical score. It was in perfect harmony.

Cool can't wait!!!

And if anyone was doubting my geekiness, the import hack thing requires you to (1) take off the front of the DVD player on the PS2 (the bit where the tilting PS logo is) so that you can slide a thing inside the tray called... the Slide Tool... and (2) open the tray without pressing the "open" button. ALL WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS!!! I mean that's just something else.

2. Did you love it when George Bush came to your country?
