I had been a BIG music lover for as long as I can remember but simply hadn't had the time since I, er, got married and had a son.

I'd read the hype about this amazing teenager in the papers and while I had been meaning to check her out, again, I never got round to it. I just did.

Yep, she is pretty good.

It annoys me that I had to really mess around to get MP3's from the CD though (in the end I got the updated version of AMWAW)

That doesn't make her any more talented than many participants who try to break through using the PopIdol format. In the end they're all the same, it's the format that's pathetic in the way it uses and abuses those talented singers.

Blame the format, not the poor souls who try to break through and show their talent.

She was just luckier or knew the right people.

Yep, an amazing voice for her age, and the album features some nice versions of a few classics. However, we'll have to see what her own material is like to truly judge. If her songwriting can match the maurity of her voice then should be good.

Nothing is different in her. First thing any record exec saw was her incredible good looks, after that they _more than likely_ molded everything else around it.

BTW we really havent heard an _unplugged_ Joss. What we have heard could have all been manufactured.

But yeah sytaylor, Amy Winehouse is the not-so-pretty girl with something amazing, not in her voice particularly (which is still very good) but in her brain, she's a genius.

Yes, KoRn market anger well to 'misunderstood' teenagers.

Their early stuff wasn't very well marketed at all fortunatley, the music did for a time stand on its own.
