It just came, a refurbished Pixel 3a XL. 
Battery is totally dead, waiting for it to charge so I can activate it is freaking maddening!

At 71% charged, got it activated and all apps reinstalled. Reinstalling texts and phone logs now, then music/alarms/background and I should be good to go!
I feel so much better being connected again, it's sort of sad. LOL

Then I turned on the bluetooth and paired my headphones to it and it booted in to safe mode. :|
Updating everything now, I got a bad feeling this adventure ain't over yet though.

7 updates later and bluetooth works! VICTORY IS MINE!!!
Yay! I hard reset my Moto twice last night so I could get my old text messages from my Pixel backup. Evidently you can't restore text messages from a Google Drive/One backup after an install. You have to do it during install time. Since my Pixel is dead I had to backup my Moto. Then reset the phone & restored just my Pixel messages. Then I ended up using a 3rd party app to back them up to Google Drive. Then restored the old Pixel messages after I reset & restored my Moto back. Whew. 
Hopefully I won't have to do that again.
