I agree with the last posters. Just stay in bed, sleep a lot, stay warm, don't drink alcohol, but drink lots of water (expecially if you've got a fever).
A fever is a part of your bodys defence system. Don't fight it unless it's dangerously high. But you need to replace all the water you'll loose, and that's why you need to drink a lot of water. If you fail to do that, you'll get the #1 reason for headaches; dehydration.
The alcohol-socks just seems like a way to cool down your body. Lowering your body temperature from a fever will make you feel better temporarily, but won't help curing it.
If you're clogged up in the nose, there's nasal sprays that clear it up. But there are other ways that I prefer:
Nasal Flush (Disclamer: I don't know if anything else on that site is any good.)
About Scandinavia:
There's a clear definition of what countries belong to Scandinavia. Too bad though that this clear definition is different depending on where you are.
If you ask most Swedes, Norwegians or Danes, I believe they'll say that Scandinavia is Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. If you ask Finns, they add Finland. And if you ask anyone else, they might add Iceland (I think we can agree on that one being wrong.)
I was taught in school that Scandinavia was Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
