inFAMOUS Second Son [PS4]

Eve IF we get a paper power I don't see much use for it since there are no side missions during the entire game and once you have completed the story and cleared the city of DUP there's little or nothing to do aside for clearing DUP "pockets".
IF we can use paper during the game then it's another story but still the'rs too little to do anyway in the city to enjoy another power.

After finishing the game...it feels a bit empty. I don't want to do the Evil run either...doesn't seem to have much impact on the experience...

Death by a thousand paper cuts. :p

The following is an excerpt from a DUP file on the paper conduit. Don't click unless you don't care about spoilers. It's from Paper Trail mission 4.

Celia has powers presiding over every form of paper. She can create pulp and stock out of trace elements, and she can effortlessly fold paper on itself in ways that require hundreds of pounds of mechanical force to achieve normally. These folding techniques allow her to create deceptively durable paper armour, paper projectiles, and animated origami constructions that have proven extremely effective in combat. She can briefly transform herself into origami constructs, or simply adopt the lightness of paper to ride wind currents.
Sounds fun.

Which is kind of what Paper Trail is, free DLC release week by week to discourage trade ins.

I only did the first one, word by word with ign's guide, cause to me it was pretty much indecipherable - why go through all that sh!t on my PC? I want real missions. I want I want I want! Me me me!

For the next game if they still go with open world like game they should implement a driving modeling and police chasing sequences. Not much more, as in the end when you analyse a GTA game except for the driving (that Infamous games don´t have) are also quite empty worlds, the difference is that driving in GTA games gives so many options in the mission structure that gives the sense of great variety.
On the other hand you have the Elder scrolls games where NPCs really have schedules, tasks, houses, speech... these (apart from the Bethesda games i could mention also Ultima VII as the grandfather of rich open worlds) are for me the real non-empty open world games. I would like a Sony first party game in this vein, but i doubt i will be done (maybe the rumoured Guerrilla Games RPG?).

I just finished the game and for me it is the best PS4 title so far. Story (as in previous games) isn't that great, but gameplay (as in previous games) is pure fun and graphics is best I ever seen. Sure, when looking at single elements maybe you can find better counterparts in other AAA games. But overall quality is just insane.
I am planning to replay the game just for the sake of painting evil grafittis all over Seattle.

Patch out 17 April 2014

From the US PlayStation blog:

Sony said:
I have some good news for you. We’ve made great progress on the inFAMOUS Second Son patch on PS4 I promised you a couple weeks back. In fact, we expect to publish it on PSN tomorrow, April 17th.

Now first, let me update you on the specifics I promised, and then toss in a few extra goodies that we managed to squeeze in when nobody was looking. First — addressing one of the top two requests we’ve gotten — you’ll be able to disable the HUD, and once you’ve finished the game you’ll be able to adjust the time of day as you like.

We also promised, and have included, an option to cap the game frame rate at 30 FPS if you prefer playing this way. To set expectations for you all: this is a frame rate cap — not a lock. It won’t eliminate the rare instance of a dropped frame during gameplay.

To hold you over until the patch goes live tomorrow, check out the brief video tutorial above showing how the Photo Mode works!

Photo mode looks very cool.

More details about the photo mode:

Photo Mode.
Wait, what’s that last one? We were totally amazed at the quality of the screenshots you all shared. Amazed. So we thought we’d try to help you all out. With this patch, you can enable photo mode within the options. Once you do that, clicking L3 will pause the game, and allow you to use a suite of our internal tools (like setting depth of field) to take even more amazing shots.

So now it would be possible to reduce the annoying depth of field in photo mode?

But in my tweet I asked them to remove it during gameplay. But it's a start. :D

More seriously, they really listened to the gamers between that, no HUD, weather options and 30fps cap.

Photo Mode is godly. NeoGAF has, expectedly, exploded with incredible screenshots. I've got a couple dozen of my own, but I'm waiting for the 1.07 firmware to get them off the system.

Word. Photo mode really makes the game look insanely good and still real time any time. With careful camera angel, color grading and the right amount of Bokeh, it can look photorealistic sometimes. I find myself pausing, tweaking every 2 seconds now and there's just infinite amount of fun with it :).
