I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about a slight problem I'm having.
I've had a HTPC for a while now but recently I changed some hardware/software and went from an NVIDIA 6150 IGP to an ATI X1300 running Vista Home Premium. However all my videos seem to have a washed out look to them & I'm not sure what exactly the cause is or the solution though I have a guess or two.
I don't recall having this problem when using the NVIDIA IGP maybe it has something to do with the ATI card, didn't NVIDIA has some sort of colour levels fix built into their drivers ? (I'm no expert in this area and my memory is foggy if I did manually apply the fix as the HTPC was out of commission for a good while).
I also believe you can do something similar with ffdshow though I do not know the settings to use or I could be totally off base and the problem is something else entirely or I've missed some setting in the ATI control panel...
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated ?
(It's not the TV as far as I can tell because I changed from a Samsung LE32N7 to a Sony KDL-D3000 and the problem persists, connection is via VGA)
