Hitachi's PVR player

Hitachi's new HDD&DVD PVR player. For some reason I can help but feel the shape of the case somewhat resembles another product... but I couldnt quite place it.

Duh. It's obviously a blatant ripoff from the design of a mid-80s Bang & Olufsen stereo. I don't see what else it could be?

It looks like that crappy Bose stereo or whatever, though I think the OP is hinting more towards the PS3. Which both look like the crappy and ugly Bose stereo.
