Duude, did you not see Virtual Fighter 5 on that list? It's an eagerly awaited game, especially in Japan. It's the fifth installment in one of the biggest (and IMO the best) fighting franchises. It's at least as big (probably) bigger than HS.

outside of MotorStorm and Warhawk.... not much there in the HS level of quality.

most of those titles are either already released (or will be) on another system or are just so-so in comparison to HS. My only point was, HS is so far, head and shoulders above MOST of the PS3 games coming in the next year, and all games currently available on the PS3.

Releasing info to hype the game will be fine even if they wait until the last 60 days before release.

While I like Heavenly Sword, it's still too early to tell. Resistance turns out to be a great game that gets compared to Halo fairly well based on players' feedback. There is also Afrika which I'm personally interested in. Also why count cross-platform games like Assassin's Creed out ?

Because I believe Assassin's Creed was delayed, so it's no longer competition. I think it's coming in May, but don't quote me on that.

getting compared to an Xbox1 game is not what I'd call flattering.

I kid, I kid... I know what you mean but it's no Halo 3 or everybody would be screaming about it.

It's a shame that despite all the hype and wonderful tools, no one on Xbox 360, Xbox, and PS2 could come up with an "unflattering" Halo 1 successor. And when PS3 has a worthy game that delivers and exceeds Halo 1 experiences in some areas on its launch day, people try to downplay it.

Read the Resistance thread on gaf to see what people are saying after beating it. IMHO, many recent shooters (even Halo 2) failed to capture Halo 1's essence such as pace, balance, large battlefields, AI, ... etc.

Despite its hype, little is known about Halo 3. This is a Heavenly Sword thread, so I'll just stop here.

It's not what the PS Store looks like. I just took these shots. This is what it looks like right now today. Notice even the navigation buttons are different. That screen shot is probably just a mock up done by Sony just for demo purposes.

At least it looks like they are working on an improved version of the web app.

Thats from a ps3 brochure right? Seems like a mock up, or atlest something we might not see until early 07.
Notice the motorstorm downloads. Which isnt out in NA atleast until February at the earliest.

A: Only one of the SPU's in the cell chip is partially dedicated to dynamic cloth and hair for the entire game. About half of this allocation is currently dedicated to Nariko's hair. That will probably go down in time but people have misunderstood that to mean that we are using half the entire processing power of the PS3. That would be insane!

Well, the NT guys had a different demo ready for TGS according to DeanoC but it had a bug so they decided not to use it at the last second. So if that has been fixed, it might not be the Arena demo.

nAo and DeanoC the new environments look great. I LOVE the picture with Nariko standing on a hill with some nice DOF effect and the sun in the background.
