Wow Reach has a lot of assassination moves.

Why is there no blood at all during the assassinations.
Compare this to Halo1, Bungie have progressively watered down the series, the complete lack of any blood or gore makes the game seem childish and not grim or dark.
There is blood but not with Assassinations.
Actually, I recall an interview with Bungie where they mentioned Halo CE was supposed to be a T rated game and they developed it as such, but the ESRB decided to pose some additional limitations in the last minute and Bungie decided to go with the M rating. However, isn't the whole point of an assassination to be silent and not leave a bloody mess? I personally think that throwing in gory effects just for the sake of it is not what makes a game more mature.

Well that's pretty stupid if you ask me - it's a mature rated game, I mean have they played Gears of War?
You use a gun if you want to leave a mess, you use a knife if you don't, simple as that.
Watch all the footage with shooting and you'll have your blood.
Though it's silly that a mature game should have a lot of blood.
Has this been released yet? It came out on one of the bad places yesterday I'm pretty sure.

 Funny, I was actually thinking about making that argument at the beginning but eventually thought about it again and decided to take a more diplomatic stance. In fact, one could make a strong argument for it being almost the polar opposite.

I guess it's because when thinking about it, I guess that games like Dragon Age and Gears of War 2 with all the excessive gore and blood still provide mature content, And at the same time I like the gory Gears headstomps just as much as I like the silent takedowns in Splinter Cell.
It's just visual style I guess, and to each game series its own. It will be pretty weird to shoot someone's in Halo Reach and see their head blows up with blood squirts all over the place a-la Gears.
