For Halo 3, we simply played through the entire Campaign, bugs and all, and thanks to the fact that our game is still a ways away, it was pretty buggy. However, all of the content was there, every mission and character and encounter – and the graphics, while far from polished, were correct to those that will be seen in the final game, certainly as far as gore and so on are concerned.
In these cases, the USK gives you a “preliminary” rating, meaning that if the final game they see differs significantly, they can (and occasionally do) change the rating. Funnily enough, although I’m not going to share our preliminary rating at this time, one thing that concerned the USK was “atmosphere and scale of encounters.” To which I say smugly, “ganz gut!”
The quest for the final and real Halo 3 box art is at an end. Microsoft has officially released the art, and they've added a new wrinkle as well. Upon close inspection of the Limited Edition, you can see that there are in fact three discs in the package. This is interesting considering the Limited Edition comes only with Halo 3 and one bonus DVD. Upon even closer inspection, you can clearly see that the DVD on the upper right is labeled "Game Disc Two."
stinkles on GAF mentioned that the art on the disk is old because they had to get that out far in advance but the disk that says "game disk 2" doesn't mean that there's a separate disk for multiplayer and singleplayer but that there's two extra disks with videos on them. I thought they said the limited edition comes in a tin?
OH god I am CRYING here. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I could not for the life of me figure out what the hell people were getting excited for - I just saw the shot.
One of the bonus discs is a DVD and one of the bonus discs is a 360 executable - like the Official Xbox Mag disc. The language should have been changed for the retail box art stuff but they walways need those shots so far in advance.
HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAH.
Anyway, I will chat more about the bonus stuff on today's update.
lol.
I'll bet that since the Legendary doesn't get the art book (Yeah...), they'll make it an interactive DVD. And I'm sure Microsoft would like it if they just replaced the art books with cheap DVDs in the Limited tin as well, circumstances permitting.
Frankie said:The other froth was caused by the revelation that the Limited Edition would contain one piece of content that isn't in the Legendary Edition. Well, don't worry about that at all. The Legendary Edition purchasers will be pleased to know that they will not have to live without that content at all. More on that later (some of the details are still being worked out), but it should be smiles and sunshine. Seriously.
I cant believe people actually thought the biggest game in Xbox history would ship on more than one disc. Come on now people.
