Tag, I think the problem is that if you allow a President to lie to the Nation and it's citizens - one of which is his wife - untill the scumbag was basically in a corner from which he couldn't emerge (Hillary states in her book that he was lying untill that very day). What else is he going to lie about? If "One" thing is Ok, will Two be tomorrow? Is "One" no problem, but "Three" is? Perhaps you're better at drawing arbitary lines than I, but I think the former Cardinal Bernadine would disagree with this.

Also, I don't think Joe (of all people) needs to go research this

I am no Clinton lover, but he shouldn't of had to answer the stupid question in the first place. No one should have cared first of all, although I think it was obvious Mr Starr was irate with some other of Mr. Clintons affairs, though couldn't prove it, and decided to throw a low blow.

Alas, and perhaps unrealistically. One simply has to draw the line when he lies to the American people on Public television in a court room, that is something no President should be able to get away with.. Part of the nasty perks of the job.

Although I must admit, who can blame him with a wife like Hillary!

fred: my memory isnt perfect, but the reason questions were asked was because he got her job(s) and other perks based on the affair. Something was fishy about this and there was an investigation on it, then the lies just compounded the problem.
